At least Poms don't get whitewashed at home. In fact they last lost a series at home in 2021, 0-1 against NZ.

That series wasn't even part of WTC.. before that 2014 loss to SL 1-0.

B Mac clears Gauti as a test coach by miles.

Root and Brooks are proper FTBs. If pitch has assistance these 2 would pack the bag first. Darpok Brook is so bad against spin that he kept himself out of even ipl.

Brook was near invincible in NZ.  Though he can be a bit of a FTB. Root is far from a FTB though

He wasn't. NZ dropped Brook some 3-4 times in his very first innings and ceded momentum.

They were catching terribly

NZ create flat pitches here and there barring against india. Look at current wi series for example ….Root might not be ftb but softie.

He was dropped like 5-6 times in that series. Similar to Marnus, luck ran out and the struggle started

Been a long time since I have seen such a stupid dismissal. With series on the line...

It reminds me of Saha's dismissal in Australia

Fker had a catch just a bit short when he was on 6 but his luck runs out. Came to the crease and only faced starc for two balls before he was taken off and then he scored some easy runs against lyon and boland before Cummins made him his bitch again.

I missed the DRS saved him when he was on 38. Lol what a loser @Gollum

Root had to score this test.He got out twice to Cummins .It is a big hole in his resume, he cannot score runs in Australia.

Cummins what a bowler, walks into the team cold after six months does not look like he has missed a beat.

Now Crawley is saying this and that about how great this Aus team is....

https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/zak-crawley-says-england-are-staring-down-the-barrel-of-ashes-defeat-1516466

"I do like to keep it simple though, and I do just think they've been better than us."

"It's been tough. They're a very, very good side"

Sure they are better than you but that is because you are a bad team. This Australia team is a very weak team compared to some of their teams in the past. That you are folding against them speaks more about you  than them.

Again England with their misplaced priorities under Stokes and Brendon. This was perfect pitch for Bazball and they did everything except play bazball.

They had to die playing bazball , they were never good enough to play percentage cricket.
