the basic theory should be 'winning almost all the tests if not all the tests   & there by almost all the  series  if not all the series at home & then  win as much tests and there by series as possible in away series ' . This will ensure the team will always be at the top almost all time .This is exactly what the TM had done in  the time period '2012 -2024' .

That team had a group of 16-20 players that could ensure this theory.

There is only 1 v.high potential test batter in the team in Jaiswal the next is Kl. Who was few or uptil lat year can not make into the team.

 

Thats what happens when you do not play format specific players. Its okay if the team is experimenting. Mentioned this  multiple times, they are taking this as an experiment- Trying to develop multiple player at the same time these kind of results are expected. Same thing is happening in t20i team, but ppl will get carried away if some1 pays a  unexpected game here or there.

 

PPl get carried away if some1 play 1 good knock or 1 good game. They do not see the entire picture. This team overall has 2 Fultime batters , rest are development or projects.

These test pitches being doctored - worthy of PhD thesis!!

 

Whatever ..... if the WC 2023 final pitch was not doctored, then why should these pitches be considered doctored? If that was okay then these are ok. Team failed in both cases.

imo that was due to the venue. It played similar to Pak game on same venue. Ideally final should be in Wankhede or Eden. Also calls of doctoring were made AFTER we lost.

 

Here on 1st day itself it was clear this was doctored. There was no way it was going even to 4th day

Well it was a ODI so the calls were made after 1st day which was only day of the match. Same as here.

 

There Rohit Sharma threw his wicket away batting at SR of 151 - there was no need for that stroke off of Maxwell of all people. Head batted with SR of 114.

 

Over there Head was the difference. Here the equally or more offensive Temba was the difference.
