He is going for  a underwhelming underrated PR of his blockbuster movie with cheap music. cG, theatrics  and bad artwork

You will not see this scene in the final output. This is just a title release video. Rajamouli always releases mid level promotional material to keep the expectations low.

Exactly.

Based on that clip, appears like a fantasy most likely taking place in Varanasi (the film’s name) where the key character is inspired by Mahadev based on Trishul and Nandi like bull.

Couldn't he find someone better than Mahesh Babu? Garbage actor, zero screen presence.

Why this opinion ? He is a solid actors tailor made for serious roles.

Yeah, he looks cute and hence people feels he isnt good for serious action...but time and time again he has proven himself as a formidable actor.

Pokkiri, Athadu, Khaleja, Dookudu, Spyder...there are many such movies. He doesnt show expressions like Jr. NTR or Prabhas or Allu Arjun...who all used to do a lot of overacting in their earlier movies.

Mahesh Babu cant make faces like Brahmanandam which gives loud expressions and there is nothing wrong with it. He chooses the subjects which suit his style and subtle expressions. Very similar to Ajay Devgn, who doesnt have very loud expressions in comparison to Akshay or Shahrukh.

Yeah, but at least Prabhas had an imposing personality at that time. No one could have played that role better than him.

Peak Prabhas' aura is unmatched in Bahubali kinds of roles. Today he is a different man, maybe due to alcohol issues, depression, steroid abuse.

Even Daggubati gave his life for that role. That is the thing with Rajamouli, he extracts so much from his actors that they are never able to reach such heights in the future.

Nobody else in Indian cinema can match this personalit

Can't sit through bahubali. But I enjoy RRR, Bajirao Mastani ....if I try to imagine Ram Charan or Ranveer in bahubali in place of prabhas, probably it could be watchable for me...

For all his movies, Rajamouli does most of the acting himself. That's why the sharp contrast in the actors output in SSR's movies versus their other movies.

He takes years for pre-production and has most of the movie visualised in his mind before the movie goes onto the sets. Watch this video.

Jai baabu....

Regarding others, Jr NTR is a class apart. The actor of a generation. Just watch Devaraa. The man single handedly lifted the frames he was in.

Anna, my statement was

"who all used to do a lot of overacting in their earlier movies. " ....earlier movies is the key.
Jr NTR, Allu Arjun they all improved gradually. But their earlier movies they used to do the same, it's true for many actors who try too hard in their initial movies and hence do overacting.
Andhrawala, Nalla Alludu, Narasimhudu, Shakthi...these are some movies of his earlier times.

Gopichand and Mahesh Babu were the first stars who introduced me to Tollywood.
Ranam and Pokiri were my first Telugu movies.

Anyway, these days most of North India watch Telugu movies, as they're the flag bearer in promoting Indian Culture. Bollywood lost that trust courtesy of their rotten mentality. Some nationalistic directors are now getting exposure, but majority of that is still blocked by the leftists.
