Apparently the grovel thing has colonial slavery connotation attached to it too. Conrad statement "We wanted them to really grovel, to steal a phrase" shows that he's clearly aware of the Tony Greig incident. Distasteful words, considering how many white players are within the South African team.

It is not fault of Sai, Jurel or Sundar that they are being asked to bat at important positions.Some of them  like Sai don't belong in international cricket.

Ya but we have to question established one like Jaiswal, Kela and Pant. Aggy and GG has proven to be worst coach and selectors but few of these  batters also need some introspection. I believe from hereon it would be same fate in loo, look at the squad of loi as well.

Poor choice of words and even poorer in invoking a distasteful incident from the past! I have no problem with him saying his team didn't want to go easy on their opponents, wanting to be ruthless etc but this grovel comment is uncalled for!

I think Conrad comments were in response to Bumrah's comments about his captain.Everyone in cricket knows about historically significance of that phrase.

 

Bavuma was classy in his PC , he knew what he was called but did not prolong it.

 

Such double standards from some Indians, there was no uproar when Bumrah was caught using slur againt Bavuma but they are up in arms against Conrad.

 

Good things happen to good people.Bavuma proved it by his maintaining his dignity.

Was it harsh language, sure yes. But come on, they are big boys, it’s not like your weekend baseball league. 
 

just take it in your stride, let the performance speak for itself, when you are one top you could give it back with interest.

Bavuma in press conference indirectly mention Bumrah in response to what the coach mentioned. Bhai bavuma body shaming comparison with racist statements
