If the TM want 3 pacers in the playing  11 then there should have been 4 pacers in the squad to cover for poor performances or injuries. That is my point.

 

Infact there are no other specialist bowlers left to choose in the squad, not even spinners.

 

Let's say they replace Prasidh with a batsman then. Washington can't be trusted with 10 overs. Who will bowl then ?

Absolutely terrible selection. what was the need to pick 3 wicket keepers.  Nitish reddy also serves no purpose. Absolutely brainless selection process.

 

Four players are warming the bench, none of those four can surely bowl even 4 overs in a game.

This is template of Gambhir  &  Agarkar,fill the squad with useless players and keep deserving players out.

 

Rinku,Parag should have been in the squad

ER cannot be swept under the carpet. As Mcgrath said in his podcast he always tried to go less than 4 an over. He never tried to take wickets. So ER is a very vital component. You need to master defensive bowling. Not every day you get 4 wickets.

Blaming bowlers when dew is on. We saw what happened to SA bowlers today.

Sorry If i was not clear ,did SA lose because there was dew.

 

Dew was minimal in first 25 overs anyways in first two games. Blaming on dew would be giving them pass for  dreadful performance.

This series has high economy rates for all seamers  except Arshdeep (below 6)

 

Prasidh could have been more accurate but he averaged 28 this series which was the best for all seamers 

 

He was clearly the most important bowler today. 3 important wickets in the middle - Breetzke, Markram , QDK, changed the game completely.

Spot on. Has seen him lose far too many winnable matches . IPL, T20Is, Tests, ODIs.
