At thr end..as far as the players are concerned..I feel all of those we wanted are in and we have some unfamiliar new players to observe too..

The money and possible chance of playing is a different matter but happy to see all are in..unless I am missing someone..

Siraj

Prasidh

Ishant

Dayal

Ashok

He will get games as ... 150 kph is box office ... they often play 3 or 4 pacers ... Ishant is old ... Dayal is very ordinary ... Rabada is phoren and may miss a few games

Plus Prasidh is injury prone..so they may not playing him in all the matches..

BIg ticket foreigners will pull out if this continues.

None of the foreign players show up during matches. They all come here for a summer vacation. Except for maybe English players like Butler or West Indies players the Australian players are a big disappointment in IPL. Maybe this rule will bring some commitment to the foreign players.

Connolly>>>Fraud Maxwell and Dwarshius will do well in Mullanpur with the new ball.

but are they better than other players in auction

feel they needed an offie like Bracewell and 145k pacer as backup of Lockie

Do not think any os players takes IPL lightly, yes may not be full Icc event intensity but every1 takes IPL seriously. They may not take other leagues that seriously and few freelancers may try to avoid burn-outs or injury.

But IPl is high intensity.

Warner had multiple seasons of 600+ score with high SR he was key player for Srh for multiple seasons and he delivered season after season.

Cummings bowls 145+ kmph in IPL when needed same as he does for Aus in intnl.

There was so much pressure on Brook that he never returned back to IPL, Zampa also fall because of pressure.

The thing is when Ind viewer criticizes certain player like Livingstone/Maxwell/Miller should know that they are not consistent even for their intnl sides thats their game and thats how their Intnl team plays them they are not the main gig.

These players have their days where they are match winner but they donot do it each game.

Issue is how teams uses these players Ind star player plays out most of balls at their on pace/sr and when it comes to hitting they want these player to hit 4/6 from ball 1 and that too every game that is not possible.

You paid them big bucks does not mean they will be able to do that every game when Ind super stars do tul-tuk.

Poorran who is known 6-hitter was not able to perform in IPL before the last season, he got good slot and he performed same for M.Marsh.

Alot of this has to do with the proper slot and usage

Players like Russell and Powell have openly came out and asked their tm to let to go 1-2 spot above so that they have few balls to face.

Player who are role players in their int. team you want then to be out and out match winners like Jordan.

None of Ind star player wants to play out of top 3 or may be top 4 batting pos and do not want to play anything out of comfort zone.

Take any player that you think is underperforming and just check the team composition /slot and their role

And those who comes with injury teams knows that before hand but they want them there just incase they recover in time for few games.

Can you same logic for every Ind star player :: rohit has not performed for years for MI, kolhi has not won a trophy in 17 yrs, Kl has been scoring meaning less runs which does not help team win, Dhoni ....

Bhumrah has never been purple cap winner

Cummins . Also Vettori was a coach for Australia for a couple of  years

Same with rcb, mo bobat & andy flower being English coaches tend to favour english players

There are only 3-4 intnl side from where mst of the players comes from, Ind domestic players have started to perform better now.

SEA+WI and now seeing update of Nz players too because they did well in sc and Icc events with champions trophy ,wc etc.

Think this could be last gen of wi batters too..

Overall happy with the GT squad.

The major concern is that Sir Tewatia could be going downhill and SRK has never had a meaningful season. Both could get dropped for next season if they don’t pick up their game.

Below is a tournament winning 12 if most of the players show good form:

Gill

Sai S

Buttler

Phillips

Sundar

Holder

Tewatia

Rashid

Sai K

Indian pacer

Siraj

Krishna

if SRK is played instead of Holder, Rabada can come in place of an Indian pacer.
