Some more progressive talks in this direction and especially anything related to the strait - Brent spot is gonna head to 80-85s in no time. News is nowhere priced in its entirety yet. Dont see it going back to pre war though as there is some risk premium baked in.

Shias of Iraq were not assuming Iranian brand of Shia but had some fine difference which was stopping them to side Iran. However now they are subscribing to Iranian brand since Ayatollah Khomeinai death. This is a massive gain for Iran. This ideological victory means Iran is not going to rush for off ramp. Infact its massive alarm bell situation for Israel

It may not matter for Iran or Israel if their economy goes to the dumps but there’s world n domestic pressure. The marines will help signal or support the narrative of the safe passage of ships through the strait in some days. But there might still be some vol until more positive signs. No leverage . They are just trying to get out of that defence pact where they'll be forced to take the side of Saudia and USA against the Iranians if this war prolongs. India have everything to lose if we meddle in Middle Eastern affairs. We have already got the best out of this situation and even today 2 LPG tankers - JAG Vasant and PINE Gas have passed through Hormuz and this diplomacy W is the only W we need out of this. Earlier Sauds understand better it is. We aren’t mediators but guessing by number of phone call New Delhi had in past few weeks, definitely back channel diplomacy is happening via India.
