Drop Abhishek from SF and possible final.

We have scape goated Kishan’s prolific form in anticipation of Abhishek’s so called bliztering innings, he is a liability on the field and clueless with the bat in this World Cup.

 

Guy is low on confidence. Open with Samson and Kishan and slot Rinku down the order. A terrific fielder and guaranteed 10 runs savings in the field.

I like this we cant risk covering for his failures in the ultra imp SF & Final.... bring rinku in gun fielder 3-4 catches 10-15 runs saving, open with kishan & SS.. but knowing GG  & Sky they wont make any changes

Obviously Yes.  But there is no one who can replace him as captain in the middle of an ICC tournament.

Yes.  He was very cheerful in the dugout.  Did reasonably ok against Pak.  Smashed a huge SIX off shaheen , that landed 2 tiers into the stand. The only game where he failed miserably was the Namibia one.

They won't drop. India just has to hope ABhishek pulls a sanju in the semi final. His confidence is shot. He is missing easy deliveries.  Kishan atleast timed beautifull before perishing. But this was an awkard stay for Abhishek.

Lol our fans are incorrigible, just a couple of innings of bad form and drop our best hitter. You will be the same ones abusing Kishan if he fails couple of times

 

Samson innings should have been a lesson for fairweather fans who turn on youngsters, but instead still no lesson learned. Abhishek is gonna play one match winning innings in either of the two knockouts, maybe even 2, and I will be here to remind the ehsaan faramoush fans

They have got into his head and have clearly asked him to be careful, which is not his natural game. Just let him play naturally and he will come good

Failing (in batting & in fielding) in 7 out of 8 games of an ICC tournament is not the same as "failing in couple of games".

The cricket gods have given India one more chance. Pick an additional bowler or get out.

 

A champion team finds different ways to win. One cannot just rely on a single strategy to bat out opposition . 

 

Pick another bowler.Kuldeep or Siraj.Doesnt matter.

Players like Abhishek will just need to fire once, they will take the game away from the opposition and bury it.  He has to fire once and these are knockout scenarios where you need that X factor.

 

it will be foolish to drop him at this moment. Take a call after the tournament. He literally killed Nzl a couple of months ago.

I would like to get a bit more technical here.  Apart from the glaring "lack of confidence" plaguing Abhishek right now, he has serious issues against half decent spin, especially when the spinner doesn't give any pace on the ball NOR offers any width.   Most opponents hv figured this out.  This problem can't be sorted out overnight.   All the opponent needs to do is: bowl spin at a low pace ,wicket to wicket, he will get out cheaply 9 out of 10 times.  He has zero footwork & zero wrist work.  Doesn't play the reverse sweep either.

Batters usually struggle with their offside game. I don’t think it should be too hard to fix his leg-side game. Team should back him.
 

If anything he needs to fix his fielding, he can work on his batting. He has been poor in the field for a while, tilak has also been dropping catches. Young athletic(although Abhi doesn’t seem very athletic) players can be this bad!

Plus he takes All the *ing catches,skiers,runnin down,puts in dives and looks like an athlete.

He's so shot mentally that he can't even hit half-trackers anymore. Twice he has gotten out to deliveries he was hitting into the stands earlier - against Pak and against WI today.
