Its tough being a positive person in India, no matter how hard one tries to stay optimistic about the country. There are so many "wrong" happening in society which just disappoints us.

We took every step wrong since 1947, we called ourselves as sovereign, Socialist republic. Yet, we are using the foreign malpractices as Laws and there is a clear divide amongst the people based on caste, status which is causing disruptions.

Instead of producing women like Rani Ahilyabai or men like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj...our system is churning women like Sonam, Muskan and men like Kavin.

Tiruppur dowry murder and policial Custody murder of Ajith kumar in tamilnadu brings great shame to the state..

The groom is local congress leader and he's already arrested i believe. That girls last call to his father is harrowing to listen.

Custody murders have become more than the norm in TN. Even after movies like jai bhim that underlined custodial tortures this continues to happen.

Shame. All the officials should be charged for murder.

How true is this?

Everybody is using their own methods to know the incidence of rabies but nobody knows the true number. 20000 by whatever estimates is a huge number and 54 cases as reported by the below tweet is gross under reporting. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

Having democracy in a country where the average IQ is less than 80 is one of the dumbest decisions of all time.

It's like giving your 5 year old kid power to make important decisions in your house.

This seems incorrect

Can you see the breakup. almost no states are reporting rabies deaths -

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lansea/article/PIIS2772-3682(23)00182-8/fulltext#:~:text=India accounts for over one,1

This study suggests that rabies deaths in India could be somewhere in the middle as you said, arnd 5700 annually

In 1950, India was a Soverign Democratic Republic. It became Socialist and Secular under Emergency rule. But Nehru and a lot of Congressi leaders were educated in Europe which at that time was ridden of Socialism (it is still now), so you can say Socialism was part of the ethos. Gandhi too was a prophet of Socialistim . Post liberalization, the generation is growing up confused, with divisive forces influencing the youth towards faux progessiveness , they are just aping the west. Politicians are busy dividing the country on caste, language , state borders, whatever can be used to divide, for their advantage,

Is it just me?

I see that indian roads have become more and more filthier in the last 10 years. People with disposable income are littering the highways like hell.
