Vijay completely reinvented himself to become a gritty opener. Aus bowlers struggled to dismiss him in 2015 but our legend Vinay Kumar was getting him out lbw on the crease Multiple times in Ranji lol.

 All he cared wsa statpadding. Gill and Sai could have easily statpadded here without taking risks. 

it is even worse with gill and sai since they cannot even manage to statpad when the pressure is fully on them

Doesn't matter if Washi fails here. He isn't a mental midget. Almost every second test, he has delivered a clutch performance with bat or ball. He lacks in talent but makes up with his mentality. If people question his ability, they have a point. 

 

But still doesn't change the fact that overall, TN cricket has massively underachieved.

Almost 4 times the size of SL, economic heavyweight like Maha, Kar, Guj. Top infrastructure, but what have they achieved in domestic cricket? How many world class players have they produced compared to Mumbai, Guj, Kar? 

 

Biggest underachiveving cricket state in this country. Uske baad Bengal. 

 

Small town guys started coming after TNPL. Will soon see more.  Now atleast they are good enough to be part of squad, XI with such competition
