yup.. Many teams could not assemble a team like that. MSD and Gambhir both wanted unit with so many options at their disposal. Kohli always did the opposite. That is why Kohli never won any LOI tournament in his career as a captain.

Jimmy Amarnath represented both Punjab and Delhi, his dad Lala Amarnath was a pioneer. 

 

Vinoo Mankad was a pioneer from Saurashtra. Pathan from Baroda. 

 

We probably need another thread to list out all names.

Their weakness is an open secret. Even last match they went with sai kishore instead of a batsman. To make it worse they did not give sai even a single over.  But Nehra thinks having long bowling line up is better.

Its also a matter of bowlers turning up. Pbks have got good bowling attack on paper but all lost form together plus dropped catches

Team is set-up to show Gill is the best batter in the side, give him all the resources and let him play at his own pace.

 

Gill is from pjb and Nehra is from del the 2 sides which has IPL ready batters and not getting any  batters from del or pjb shows what they are going for.

That's why I don't want him the captain of Indian whiteball team. He's very similar to Kohli. I want Iyer or even Pandya as captain as they understand you need batting depth. Gill's teams are top heavy just like Kohli's teams of old :fear1:

gt completely overachieved by using a one dimensional old school formula similar to the old indian t20 lineup under kohli since that outdated approach never gets you a trophy and their lack of a middle order completely exposed them after relying on just three top players

Yea.. If you have depth you can make up for off days something AUstralia did at their peak. I am glad this structure gets exposed one more time

I knew the writing on the wall when I saw Sundar batting at 4 and no real batting depth. I'm surprised they over-achieved to reach the final but they've been a very lop-sided team.
