vvvslaxman Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Now we are left with 4 big teams. LEt us see how things go. France had to work a little harder.
Bigg Brother Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Bellingham is very un-Englandsque player. Sometimes plays like he is possessed, even for Real Madrid. Clutch player. Gave his all against Mexico as well. nitinbwj 1

THis is like 3 matches in a row. IN the first match Harry kane dived. Not given any yellow. This is purely the inrepretation of referee when it comes to punishment. In this case extremely harsh. It is a freaking world cup quarter final. You take out a player for "simulation" which is not really impacting anything. It is not even near penalty area. IF they were consistently punishing all divers so many yellow cards would have been given. Certain teams get the VAR coming into action at the right time for them. Argentina is one team. This is my observation. We can dance around it all we want. The mistaken identiy is only used when a card is given by mistake. Its not used to correct card not given. Its not difficult to understand buddy. If in Kane's case the other player was booked then VAR could have intervened. This is not to punish all divers. Its to ensure players are not wrongly booked. The rules are crystal clear when to use this rule. Your not understanding what current VAR rules are how they are implemented is not VAR's problem BTW, in the US Paraguay match same thing happened, yellow card was given for foul. VAR overturned and gave the other player dive for simulation This rule has been consistently used throughout the tournament. Edited July 12 by New guy

WHat if the referee deliberately gives an yellow knowing fully well the other man dived? lol This is a loop hole. Many dives of ARgentines were ignored. Not even called foul. You shoudl give benefit of doubt to players. IN eveyr match i see so many dives. They basically don't careabout dives as long as there is no yellow card involved. How is this even discouraging the dive. Almost every match they just dive.. after a while they get up and run.
MechEng Posted July 12 Posted July 12 (edited) Never give Latino teams like Brazil and Argentina the freedom to play their attacking game. Once they see that you are over relying on your defence and not taking enough possession of the ball, they will smell blood like sharks and go in all cylinders firing. Their playing style is quite similar to that of the old West Indies and Pakistan cricket teams. Edited July 12 by MechEng
nitinbwj Posted July 12 Posted July 12 England and Norway played a banger of a match. It could have gone either way. Norway slightly unlucky. Why did they substitute Halland. Some of the shots hit the poles. Incredible goalscoring by Bellingham though.
Bigg Brother Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Sorloth is such a dick. Halland was available, easy pass and they would have taken 2-0 lead. Shitty move to go own way. The more I watch, the more it infuriating it is. nitinbwj 1
nitinbwj Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Norway held on to the lead till the end until that great goal from Bellingham. Did it touch the wire ? We will never know as there was no video evidence shown. Also That Halland pass may or may not have mattered as Sorloth decided to go solo. That 2 handed push from Haaland was also not needed. In the end it was great match
nitinbwj Posted July 12 Posted July 12 (edited) I will be surprised if any of these sloppy Teams could beat France ,Arg included. Edited July 12 by nitinbwj

France will bully England or Argentina in finals. Both very passive units with Eng being slightly better than Arg For these team's sake they would want Spain to take out France. govinda Posted July 12 Posted July 12 It was unlucky red for emblo if not for that the momentum swiss were having they would have won 2-1 in full time
govinda Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Argies being lucky again anyway don't care about 2nd semi two unlikeable teams them&pomies. Hope france or spain beat these losers
Singh bling Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Many people say Cricket is played by few nations and football by whole world. But still almost everyone predicted top 4 teams and those teams are in semi final. Same is for T20 cricket. You can invite 20 teams but prediction is going to top 4 . So not much difference between two. The only difference is crazy fans of each nation which are absent in cricket
goose Posted July 12 Posted July 12 im going to stick up for england. at least their fans don't say they can field 4 teams and still win then lose 4-0 sage and putrevus 2

Vickydev Posted July 12 Posted July 12 The semifinalist we deserve. Fantastic World Cup. France v Spain for the football purists, England v Argentina will be war diga 1

And nobody carees about a T20 bilateral, why are you comparing that to a world cup. nitinbwj and BCCISelector 1 1
