vayuu1 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 To be honest nah I am not hurt with this, coz let's face it you saw it coming so was looming around the corner, in fact hope is might see some changes in the set up. Sent from my vivo 1601 using Tapatalk
Adi_91 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Indian team has a bright future and if our selectors do what they are doing and accelerate the pace of blooding youngsters in to the side, we'll be in great position in WC19.
The Dark Horse Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 This one, yes. We were anyday the better side. We just lost the final to the 8th ranked side in the world. Unbelievable.
Sidhoni Posted June 19, 2017 Author Posted June 19, 2017 Since this thread was started we have had one heartbreak per year. 4 more contenders.
asterix Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I'm not hurt but disappointed... Feel like taken for a ride... Atleast my IPL team MI does "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas" during the league stages but wins the matches which matters... Could be due to the fact that Kohli not leading the team... I'm not hurt because I was half expecting this result as there were many "pointers" towards this whole buildup, Eid coming, Holy Month going on, India being favourite to win hence skewed betting odds, Viru & Mauka guys doing there bit to hype up things... Those who made the efforts to go, watch & support these losers were hurt if whatever I saw there at the stadium and while returning back... Taken for a ride... Top batting team capitulating on a patta giving no fight... Wrong selection of the team for this match...

sourab10forever Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 Definatly this for me. Started following cricket keenly only after all those losses. So this is a first time for me

Temujin Khaghan Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 2003 WC is a proper mental scar given by Ricky Ponting to Indian fans... can never forget it and after he retired I am able to appreciate him more genuinely without any grudge because he played so well that day. I like Ricky Ponting more than Lara just for that innings. This CT 2017 loss is nothing compared to that pain. 0-8 was also humiliating because lets be honest, Cook is a moron and a defensive captain like Dhoni in fact he let us off so many times like he made spinner bowl to Yuvraj and Raina and they made runs in the 2011 England tour and the moment pacers were brought in, they lost their wickets. Basically cook and Dhoni were playing the game of 'lets see who is the bigger idiot'. also Australian team was very weak when we went there both the times under Clarke and recently under smith. a more proactive captain would have made his bowlers train hard for a month before going on these tours. Also we failed to convert 2 games which were supposed to be our wins in sa and nz. I could just go on about Dhoni and his retarded policies in overseas tours. Like they were playing Umesh Yadav in the India a tour to Australia while the national team was bowling pancake Singh in England 2014. I mean serious mental retardation. in 2011 we played rp Singh who was fat and on a vacation before he was called because Zaheer was unfit. Micheal holding took one look at Zak during the first test training and said that this bloke is unfit and will not complete the 4 test series... he was injured on the first test morning... bad bad bad bad planning.
Soorma_Bhopali Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 1986 Australasia cup Final ..India vs. Pakistan ..Javed Miandad with last ball six ..I was pretty young then but it was disbelief written over everyone's face.. people came out of their houses with dejected faces ..there was hear-attack for a few as learnt in next day's papers

Chalks Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 (edited) Regarding the 2003 WC: after Australia - thanks to Bevan and Bichel - turned around potentially losing positions against England in the Group stage, and then again against NZ in the Super Sixes (after Shane Bond destroyed their top order), I knew nobody was going to beat them. SUMO Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 from what I have followed (since 99 WC) 1.CT loss to NZ in finals 2000 2.2003 WC 3.nagpur test vs aus 2004 4.Bangalore test vs pak 2005 5.karachi test vs pak 2006 6.sydney test 2008 7.T20 2014 final 8.T20 2016 semi 9.CT final 2017 Losses which doesn't haunt back as cric fan WC loss in 2015 was against superior team (we punched above our weight to reach semis) WC loss in 2007 has been forgotten just as a bgad dream and off day against bang and chappel saga etc. white washes and losses in overseas tests (we weren't even competitive) 2003 wc tops the list. it will forever haunt me (memory etched in childhood) at the moment 2017 comes 2nd
