what ever i saw in duleep

my conclusion- Harshit Rana ( high Potential ) , Navdeep Saini ( can be pacy in Australia , has improved his accuracy a little) , Khaleel are 3 guys apart from AKASHdeep /shammi/siraj/boom who can be played in Australia and NewZealand.

Others can be accurate some times but if they dont have the potential ..dont fit in

how is 6 feet 5 inches gurneer brar and yudhvir- GG is asking them to be at nets.

Gurnoor is a 135-140 pacer, Yudhvir around similar pace.

Both are tall, well built and get bounce off the deck, still raw but skills are there.

It was reported that Yudhvir troubled Jaiswal in the nets a lot along with Bumrah.

And Kohli GG had to step in to guide YBJ

That's promising.

YBJ too has to learn a lot of things, he is still a newbie in international cricket.

Gambhir probably asked them in nets for our batters to prepare for Nahid Rana

we were lucky that Nahid RANA was not accurate or should i call him wayward else his pace was from 139 to 151 K, little more accuracy and he could have taken a fifer. he did get one or 2 wickets in each innings. With his pace , a little more accuracy is required and he can be the highest wicket taker. Hasan got lucky to get 5 wickets in one innings.

in second innings Hasan bowled quite slow though his line n length were very impressive.

Akash in second inings was average where as first , he was good but underbowled.

Bumrah was saving himself and not bowling full throttle.

That is not inaccuracy. That is called lack of experience. With more experience, he will be deadly.

Hasan did not get 'lucky'. He had a plan and he stuck to that. Again, Hasan did not get as long a break between innings as his body required. Can hardly blame fresh rookies for that. Both Rana and Hasan were phenomenal because their board believes in them.

Its refreshing to see a younger bowler is going full throttle in test touch 150 kmph , On average bowling speeds have increased but v.few bowlers are carrying same speeds in tests.

Both Naseem and Shaheen looks like the shadow of their past, past which is like only 1-2 years back.

They are suppose to be in their prime and hardly touching their previous top speeds, largely they were mostly T20 spleclist , is there any connection of T20 bowlers are not able to recover that strongly or needing those t20 variations take a lot out of the bowlers ??

Ind's Mavi , Avesh they too lost their pace when they are in their prime now the Pak bowlers, saw some highlights of CPL and Nortje is not anywhere never his top pace.

Was hardly getting into 145 kmphs and its been like that for time now.

Are t20 skills and variations taking too much out of the bowler, One way to avoid injury and keep the good rhythm was supposed to be done by nice repeatable action, but to add those t20 skill and variation bowler need to disguise the subtle changes in their action a lot more these days could this be the cause of it??

Bowlers like wood , bhumrah, shami are able to bring back to same pace even after injury because their t20 bowling is not v.far from their test bowling style.

Shami does not have t20 bowling skills and variation and kind of bowl same thing , wood bowls as fast as he can regardless of the format.

Bhurmah right now looks like a complete bowler but Ind team tries to protect him from injuries giving him rests.

All 3 Aus fast bowler hardly gets injured and have been able to maintain their pace over the longer period of time because none of the 3 bowlers have any kind of T20 skills and variation , only now Cummins has added slower bouncers

What is latest on Mayank?

There is no substantial update since, he was recovering in NCA and working with bio-mechanics specialist-v.old news.

All the opportunity are gone now, also it could be due to retentions in IPL, think similar issue with Harshit.

Both IPL teams have had association with GG and bcci understands that these bowlers are brought by these teams and thats why they are nt getting a chance to look in.

Else its strange that Harshit did not play in Zim or SL.

BCCI and IPL franchises are still to decide over retentions, CSK wants to retain MS as uncapped player and then there is this rohit- Sky -Pandaya triangle in MI.

Also bhumrah would like to move -v.less chances of MI letting him go and every1 wants to be in MI eco-system.

So two big market teams are yet to decide their retentions and what is lsg going to do with KL situation ??

Apart from kolhi all Ind superstar are in the market one way or the other.

Teams now have to look into the future now that kolhi and Rohit have retired from Intnl cricket and MS might be done --these are 3 biggest star of Ind cricket who is next to them no1, there is huge gap.

When he has this ability, why can't Siraj bowl like this most of the time.

Don't recall Siraj getting wickets with outswinger recently.. is he bowling that as a default channel ball? I wonder if bowlers go for glamour balls in this insta reels era.

Siraj, in the last year or so, has picked up significant number of wickets in a match when he has tried to swing the new ball and conditions favour him too.

It's not like he tries it always and often conditions don't favour this style either.

Which is why he has become a limited bowler.

Was pleasantly surprised to see him hit the deck in the good length area and getting bounce, while maintaining an off stump to 5th stump line. Loved it. He definitely has the ability to do this. Maybe it is due to Morkel's input.

Ind need to add 3/4 new fast bowlers asap, siraj is not the same bowler he was pre-asia cup. 1 more injury and shami will be done and same is true for bhumrah.

As Ind is trying to protect him its imperative that at-least 2 front -line bowler are needed, with all due respect but ind needed to bring bhumrah for bd series. this indicates ind does not have any1 they can trust

Bumrah looked stiff in his first 2 overs. Speeds of 129 k to 136 k with one ball at 141 k.

Bowling near full pace in his next 2 overs. Bowling 136 k to 144 k and getting some bounce and seam movement.

Looks like he did not practice before this test.

He did practice. He bowled to Kohli in the nets and got him out four times. He was looking to swing the bowl in the first over so speed was lower than usual.

144k from boom ...that's heartening.
