The Realist Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 v Which is worse? sourab10forever and tweaker 2
tweaker Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Raina,Raina is with the team acclimatising the Aussie 's conditions
G_B_ Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 surprising Raina does move well in the field.... fat but agile. Mishra is just plain fat.
zep1706 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Yeah he has gained some weight but he is still quite good on the field.
kosingh Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Raina is becoming really ridiculous sandeep and sourab10forever 2
Precambrian Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I don't get it, are people assessing bellies by looking at a rather loose jersey? I don't think Raina is unfit.
beetle Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Raina can slide on his belly...mishra see -saws on his.:--D Muloghonto, _ramkumar and maniac 3
KFC_Zinger Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Raina can slide on his belly...mishra see -saws on his.:--D Lol
Gollum Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 He has slowed down a wee bit this year, still a great fielder of course but not the electric Raina of yesteryears.
vayuu1 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Raina is becoming really ridiculous OMFG, : rofl:what have you done. tweaker 1
Sooda Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Raina has always been a bit on the round side, but also one of the fittest guys around, certainly cant question his work ethic
fineleg Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 It is surprising though, they are spending last few months with the team and trainers. Yet, they are not looking as fit as one would expect, a bit surprising yes.
Precambrian Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 "not looking fit"? WTF that means? He's the most agile of all Indians on the field. Funny how people judge based on random things perceived from TV. Performances count, appearances don't. Sachin was stocky and short throughout his career. But he was probably one of the best outfielders we had in that time. Continued to remain so even into his 40s, with a strong and accurate arm.
Cricketics Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Kind of going Viru's way in increasing weight, but the dude is so fit and great in the field that I feel that he will know when to lose the weight and where to draw the line. His game hasn't been affected yet so that is good.
Precambrian Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 There is a concept called being 'functionally fit'. There are people who might outwardly stocky, fat, but are among the most fit group when it comes to actual performance. Look at Watson - the guy looks like a body builder but is so fragile that CA has its fingers crossed every time he steps into the field. What's then the use of having an outwardly "fit" body? Let's not buy into the western concept of fitness and stuff. While am not advocating for Romesh Pawar type guys, it's quite stupid to ignore actual performances while assessing fitness.
Temujin Khaghan Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Raina can slide on his belly...mishra see -saws on his.:--D :cantstop::cantstop:
The Realist Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 "Raina, who last played a competitive limited-overs fixture in May, spent quite a bit of time as acting captain in the morning after Rahane was off the field. He walked out to bat appearing chubbier than his usual self" http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2016-17/content/story/1077131.html sandeep, maniac, Mosher and 4 others 7
