Austin 3:!6 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Lots of debates going around about the proposed series between India - Pak in December. Shahriyar Khan said that BCCI and PCB have signed a MOU to play 6 bilateral series in the course of next 5 years with the 1st one to be played in UAE this december. Khan wants BCCI to fulfill its promise and seek approval from the govt. BCCI however made it very clear that no cricket can take place with Pakistan unless the LOC / political situation improves. Also, PCB needs to clear some reservations that BCCI has. Khan will be meeting with Anurag Thakur next week on the back of ICC meeting in Dubai to discuss about the future of the series. PCB also threatened to boycott India in ICC events if the December series does not go ahead. This is turning out to be interesting. Expect some more dramebaazi from PCB in the upcoming few weeks. In such an environment i cant see govt giving clearance of any kind. Keeping aside the govt clearance, the larger question is as an Indian and a cricket fan do i want my team to play a test series vs pakistan ? the answer is No. Also i read if this series is cancelled pak will boycott india. I am assuming they are pointing at T20 WC. if PCB does take that stand then i would not only understand but also respect them for walking the talk. However, given PCBs history this is no more than big talk they dont have the balls to take such a bold decision.

I'll have more respect for them if they walk the talk by not participating in the tournament but we all know, in the end, they're just a barking dog.
