Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 He needs to be dropped from the test side.FOREVER!His Mumbaiya friend Shastri can go with him. sscomp32 and doccricket 2
cowboysfan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 he is from Mumbai, their lobby are still ruining indian cricket.a guy with multiple centuries and a future opener didnt get a single game AT HOME but they still played this idiot,
beetle Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Even if Kohli rethinks rohits permanent spot in test,Shastri will not let him do that. Right now Kohli is under his 'influence' . vijay50 1

The Realist Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Nohit has friends in high places and an influential lobby that ensures he cannot be dropped easily. doccricket 1
Captain Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The Mumbai lobby will always be present to save Rohit's place in the team. But, seems like even they are running out of excuses to include Rohit Sharma in the test side.A couple more failures and it would get very tough even for the powerful Mumbai lobby to get this clown into the test side. sscomp32 and Mosher 2
The Realist Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Former batsman Sanjay Manjrekar feels that Rohit Sharma is on a self-destructive mode and said it will be difficult for him to retain his place in India's Tests squad."He would be hoping for a second innings and he gets an opportunity to bat and he needs to score to save his Test place. It has come to that situation where the selectors will be thinking hard if Rohit Sharma deserves a test place," Manjrekar said."What goes against him is the way he gets out. Even today, at a crucial juncture trying to hit a bowler for a six and getting out. His game is built on lofted shots. The sixes and big shots are part of his DNA, his basic game."What he has struggled to do is rein it in. In England also he got out while playing a big shot. He plays a lot of them in other format of the game. He is almost on self-destruction mode," he said.http://zeenews.india.com/sports/cricket/india-vs-south-africa-2015/it-will-be-tough-for-rohit-sharma-to-retain-his-test-place-sanjay-manjrekar_1830177.html vijay50 1
fineleg Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Yes thats the problem. His fundamental game is built on airy-fairy shots, much like sometimes Raina goes over the cow corner. Unfit for Tests. Atleast Raina is a team player and has a brain. This useless Nohit is totally unfit. He is actually unfit for ODIs as well, but that will be apparent once this purple patch ends. Lannister Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The way he plays some shots, its just there's no intent in them. Even he doesn't know where the ball lands, once he made contact. The day he learns the importance of strike rotation, it'll be the first step in becoming a complete batsman. vijay50 1

Hit in the gaps but before atleast get ur eye in Play a few balls, take singles. Kohli was playing almost run a ball when he came in Sehwag use to play with field . He use to hit in the gaps also his gr8 strength to target on particular bowler n be absolutely severe on himNothing wrong in playing attacking cricket but u hve to built ur game around ur strength n weaknesses. IF he as a 6th number batsman has to score that much plzz have binny, jadeja, mann ,pathan or nyone who atleast will give u overs. 28 innings-896 runs, n 288 runs in 1st two innings Post two innings he avgs 23.38 these r atrocious stats vijay50 1
fineleg Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 these r atrocious stats Whats even more atrocious is given his atrocious stats, the captain, selectors, Ravi Shastri all ignore Gurkeerat and choose Nohit for the Test vijay50 1
gakgupta Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Whats even more atrocious is given his atrocious stats, the captain, selectors, Ravi Shastri all ignore Gurkeerat and choose Nohit for the TestDude ...Gurkeerat is no test batsmen....there are others ahead of him
sandeep Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I'm a self-confessed Rohit fan, and a Mumbai Cricket fan. But I will concede this - horrible shot selection by Rohit, and not for the first time. I can't blame people who wonder whether the fact that he is captain of the Mumbai Indians, i.e. Reliance have invested in him as an asset, somehow that ends up buying him these extra chances. I defended his selection this series, but the guy keeps pulling sheikchilli type stunts. doccricket 1
sandeep Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 He maybe lucky that the likes of Karun Nair and Shreyas Iyer are still youngish and only have a couple of FC seasons under their belt. If there was a "well-cooked" batsman knocking on the door, I think he would be gone.
G_B_ Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 replace with sheyas iyer. Mumbai lobby happy. One mumbai batsman for another... doccricket and Shivaji bhonsle 2
