Ranjha
What is this nonsense of had yuvi stayed for another 3-4 overs, we would have lost the match. No you didn't and wouldn't.. They in the middle know when to build the partnership and when to hit out...cricket is not a game of ifs and buts...results speak for themselves..he did what was needed( missed singles not his fault cuz of injury) ..had yuvi stayed, he was going to go big or get out like he did..virat said it himself..go read his quoted interview..he provided India the luxury of having wickets in last 5 and go all out... someone is is talking about yuvi has not scored a 50 in last 2 years loll he just started playing after 2 years... He only started to hit out when there was no option left. he could not run so he thought to hit out, but he could not do even that. We were in a precarious position. RR was already touching 12 and Yuvraj isn't the same hitter anymore, he used to be. At once, we needed 39 of 18, 13 an over, and 9 of 10 times, bowling team will win from that situation. We were really lucky to come out winner from that position. Rasgulla, Singh bling, Ultimate_Game and 1 other 4 Link to comment
gakgupta
we will miss his left arm spinners.... Manish is better than rahane in T20's esp considering the position (5th spot) Link to comment

PSB_Zone
It may be a blessing in disguise .I do think Rahane should replace Uv with tweak in the batting order. Rohit is struggling at the top in T20s. We all know how gud he is at No. 4 as finisher in IPL. Raina should drop back to his typical 5th position. zen
Looking at current form of many of the players in the Ind team (Yuvi, Raina, Dhawan, etc.), I thought: * BD would push Ind - IND had to pull out a magic card * Aus 53, Ind 47 - Ind had to pull out a magic card For WI vs Ind, again looking at the form of many in the Ind team: * WI 55, Ind 45 If the same 11 is played, have to see if Ind has any magic cards remaining. Hopefully, it will have at least two - one for SF and one for F Magic cards Edited March 29, 2016 by rett Link to comment

He can no longer hit a decent attack and it's time he sticks to IPL. Link to comment
Silva
I am pretty certain Yuvi won't play. I think probably Rahane will be picked ahead of Pandey based on experience. But even negi might have a shot since dhoni likes having bowling options. Edited March 29, 2016 by Silva Link to comment

zen
Below is 11 that I posted on one of the threads: Pandya - a gamble but worth the risk if he gets going in the PP. also playing Pandya mainly as a batsman. his bowling is a lottery and his over can go for 20-30 runs vs in-form batsman on this track Rohit - persisting with him because he has not looked out of sorts in the middle but has somehow managed to get himself out. would probably do well in Mumbai Kohli Panday Dhoni Open slot - this is a tricky spot as Dhawan, Raina and Rahane have not inspired much confidence to show that they are in good nick. Playing Negi as a hitter could be a good option too and his overs could be useful Bhajji Jadeja Ashwin Nehra Bumrah * Assuming that the pitch is flat and Panday replaces Yuvi * Runs would have to mainly come from 2 to 5 .... the bowling attack has to defend / set -up whatever these 4 can manage * Remaining 7 would have to combine their efforts to perform like 2-3 batsmen Stats from group games Batting - from those who have batted in all 4 games and after removing their highest score: Kohli = 51 Dhoni = 44 (mainly not outs) Rohit = 9 Yuvi = 9 Dhawan = 7 Raina = 4 Besides not doing much with the bat, below is how many overs Yuvi and Raina have bowled: Overall figures Player Mat Inns Overs Mdns Runs Wkts BBI Ave Econ SR 4 5 JJ Bumrah 4 4 16.0 0 111 3 1/15 37.00 6.93 32.0 0 0 RA Jadeja 4 4 15.0 0 88 4 2/22 22.00 5.86 22.5 0 0 A Nehra 4 4 15.0 1 89 4 1/20 22.25 5.93 22.5 0 0 R Ashwin 4 4 13.0 0 95 4 2/20 23.75 7.30 19.5 0 0 HH Pandya 4 4 10.0 0 100 5 2/29 20.00 10.00 12.0 0 0 SK Raina 4 3 6.0 0 29 3 1/4 9.66 4.83 12.0 0 0 Yuvraj Singh 4 1 3.0 0 19 1 1/19 19.00 6.33 18.0 0 0 * Note that these two don't bowl when the heat is on for e.g. in PP and at the death Edited March 29, 2016 by rett Link to comment

vishalvirsingh
I believe Negi could get his chance ahead of UVRAJ.. as uvraj is not fit. negi is not a bad batsman and he is a fairly good bowler at least as good as uvraj. Link to comment
CommonMan
This match is going to be a run feast. It is good to have a batsmen than to have another bits and pieces player. Link to comment

bowl_out
I would still play Negi ahead of Pandey in the SF... WI have all right hand bats after Gayle.. If Ashwin can get Gayle in the Power play, we'll have Negi and Jadeja strangle right handers, and Bumrah, Nehra for the death overs... Predict Rohit and Kohli to come good with the bat given the belter that Wankhede is ... So a weak middle order is not really a big concern... Link to comment
