sscomp32 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 yeah but the captaincy was top notch. You missed out. Would be nice if for once you got over your obsession for some retired cricketer and look at the context rather than indulge in fishing and witch hunting. Here bowling includes everything which means captaincy + fielding + bowling. Sometimes it was the captaincy some times it was the bowling and sometimes it was the fielding.. BeautifulGame Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Not really much different. I liked watching tests when I have time that's all.It never kindles a passion in u like a ODI or T20 or even football nowadays .Too long a format for that. Just a leisure pass time .
BeautifulGame Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Kohli is bringing lots of new fans to test cricket. His attitude makes the matches more exciting. Is there any statistical evidence for this ? Sounds pure nonsense .Last I saw in Vizag , we had free entry all five days and still had to fill the ground with school kids despite being a historic match. Will see how the crowd is in Mohali with weekend as well. sscomp32 1

Remember Sachin breaking world record in front of empty stands .But if Kohli has rekindled passion for test cricket among fans as "ICF" says I Sam sure it will be different this time with fans thronging to the stadium lol Frankly it's the same old BS nonsense .Something similar was said when Dhoni became captain too.New young captain ,India no.1 in rankings , test cricket is revived in India and all the same nonsense .Yet it remained the same in reality. beetle and sscomp32 2

Also the 2010 test vs Aus. One of the most epic run chases. Yeah it's the same and will always remain the same. Whenever Kohli goes and some new one arrives these 'ICF EXPERTS' will still be the same. Sent from my SM-G550FY using Tapatalk

sscomp32 Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 + the defensive captaincy Making the@laaloo mistake. Check my posts after that. Detonator Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Oh guys, admit it we all like to watch test cricket only when India is winning. For some reason, I like to watch the Aus-SA, SA-England and Ashes more than India matches.

Sent from my SM-G550FY using Tapatalk Well said, when things go wrong, people tend to become too negative about a particular player. They want to find a scapegoat. Recently I have seen pathetic comments about Mishra, who might have bowled bad, but suddenly after Jayant started doing well, people have been talking extremely negative about Mishra. Mishra is okay, not bad and Jayant has had a great start. And to glorify one player, we can not undermine another player who hasn't done too bad, just perhaps got replaced by someone who has bowled better recently. Dhoni for me was bad at times, but the whitewash we had overseas wasn't just because of him. Our great bats struggled too including current players who were part of those tour. Our bowling was bad at times too. That time everything failed together. I always wanted Kohli to lead India in test and ODI'S, but I hope Dhoni stays our ODI captain for now. He is another selfless player like Dravid. Laaloo, sscomp32 and Sidhoni 2 1

With neutral matches there is no emotion involved and you look more for good quality cricket. Sent from my SM-G550FY using Tapatalk Detonator 1
Mariyam Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 11 hours ago, laaloo said: so how about now? Do you like it now? I don't. Test cricket is a terrible colonial legacy. It is suited for the cooler climes of England where the players wore sweaters and had tea and biscuits along with the spectators between innings. It was a strictly upper stiff lipped upper class of nonathletic Britishers who played this game. In India too, it was the collaborating princes who were the earliest proponents of this abomination. Not only does the sport reek of treachery, but playing test cricket in the blistering hot weather of India is also very stupid. LOI, however, are a desi-ized hybrid of decadent test cricket and the vivacious gulli danda, better suited for the Indian climate and the athletic Indian constitution. punjabi_khota 1
