Probably the kind of batsman that is not easy on the eyes and some one who will not be a household name, a superstar.

 

but what the guy has in him is grit and determination...a very compact player....just like you can't stuff your portfolio with only etfs stocks and options you need cash deposits as well...jeet raval is that cash deposit.

 

will not be an ATG or a legend of a game but will have a very fulfilling career for Nzl standards like 4000 test runs.

 

what he lacks in natural talent and flair makes up for his concentration and grit

Wanted to open a thread for Nicholls to who I think has the ability to become a big game player soon...just want to focus on one talent at a time but watch out for Nichcols too who has shades of an upcoming future ATG

Very young to Intl cricket.....teams will figure out his weakness over the time....if he can overcome that, he can be credited....

Very solid start :cheer:

 

As I said will not move mountains and shatter records like a stokes,smith,root,Rohit etc but will have a very solid test career....very impressed...a good player.

He's a gujju-kiwi Akash Chopra.  Goodish defense, but very limited scoring game.  NZ has few options so he's good enough for them.  Wouldn't make it to test teams outside of Zim, NZ, SL, Pak, WI.

This guy has danger written all over him the next time we tour NZ. Come to think of it why haven't we toured NZ after that brilliant 2 match series of 2013? Looking at the NZ line up I think they will be a very challenging opposition for us in their conditions, might even beat us handily !!!! Please BCCI make it happen, 2009 series was epic and we have a potential blockbuster on our hands.
