It was a pity that the last day of the 2004 test got washed out resulting in a draw.

The way he set up the 2008 against England was epic.

and the great aussie side wouldn't have won test series in india - their final frontier

We cannot really say that...> The aussie has chased 107 in Mumbai in a very haphazard way (where their minds are already on flight to home with the trophy). Well I know that it is not easy target to chase on that pitch and may be even if the series is 2-1 at that time (assuming India won the Chennai match), India still had a chance with defending 107 but I really doubt that!

Sehwag was on a roll even in second innings when the 4th day ended. Also Chennai pitch was not an unplayable pitch like Mumbai pitch

Yes, I agree. Sehwag was on a roll and could have won us the Chennai Test match (which is 2nd match in the series).

Assuming we lost the Nagpur match (on the green top) and went in to Mumbai test match with the series scoreline of 1-2, Australia would have taken the chase in Mumbai test match (which is the 4th and last match of the series) very seriously and could have won the match if they were chasing a mere 107.

My point was that Australia might have still won the series (the final frontier) even if Ind won the Chennai test match.

But I agree that the series would have been very well poised if Ind won that match. It is a heart-breaking draw.

Miss him every Test match. Watching him play Test cricket was one of my fondest cricket memories. Still watch some of his innings highlights on youtube.
