It is very much a reflection of what India has become – a noisy, chaotic place where coherent debate without shouting, screaming and name-calling is impossible. And it could also be two channels like Republic India and Republic World TV. With own global news channel, we can tell the Indian narrative of things which we currently have none. And that's actually a good thing. The global channels are highly opinionated and we need one like them to compete with them. There really aren't any proper neutral news. Arnab makes news for far less intelligent and less exposed viewers so he has to be 'breaking news' ' expose' ' shocking revelation' etc, and besides he has to be an opinionated moderator who does not allow his guests to speak, thats the way he rolls and i like it but global news no, too visibly opinionated and emotional. But got to say he is very one sided, he never takes on BJP or Modi, always targeting opposition parties. It's as though the daily order comes from PMO about that day's target. But Arnab is no different from NDTV guys who worship the Gandhis and all so called secular parties. Modi sarkar has been absolutely pathetic on many counts, but somehow our desh bhakt channels refrain from highlighting those topics. Got to say UPA sarkars or ABV's NDA never had it this easy with media and journalists. Those times there was proper accountability. Now we are entering an era of unchallenged one party rule and there is no space for dissent/different political ideology/tough questions. Rohit S. There is a legitimate proof with the audio. Yet, no other media has shown it nor discussed it. It shows the big influence a convicted criminal like Lalu has on media. Convicted criminals, anti-nationals, anarchists are the new heros in the media today. Next, if anyone is the biggest victim of fake & completely biased news, it's BJP and Modi. As opposition pre-2014, they were abused daily by this media and post-2014, they have been unfairly targeted and highly scrutinized. There are thousands of cases of lie big, then apology small. UPA and their Gandhis never faced any real questioning by this media. With Republic TV, there is more competition in the media, and that should be welcomed. So why is the leftist media afraid of competition? Why do they want complete domination and offer no space for social media or RWs?
