Mariyam Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) This article hints in that direction. An excerpt Quote US-President Barack Obama has declared the strategic partnership with India a priority of his foreign policy. China needs to be reined in. In the context of this partnership, the US government’s development agency USAID has negotiated cooperation agreements with the Indian ministry of finance. One of these has the declared goal to push back the use of cash in favor of digital payments in India and globally. Any truth to any of this? Or tin foil hat steel helmet by the German author? American MSM has overall portrayed the move negatively (Washington can no longer use Hawala networks to fund NGOs/Missionaries). Listen to Anil Bokil or S. Gurumurthy on the issue. Their combined opinion should explain the need for demonetization. If you wish to listen to someone who supports demonetization but has provided constructive criticism on its implementation, R. Vaidyanathan is your man. Set aside some 3-4 hours and listen to them. Trust me, it's worth it (wouldn't recommend it to you without having done it myself). Whether you agree with them or not is upto you. Tibarn, sandeep and beetle 3

sandeep Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 All this is old-school propaganda. An attempt to sell the "baahri mulk ka haath" type BS. Counterfeit currency was the biggest issue for this, the whole song and dance about whether black money will be reduced or not is just shifting the goal-posts by those whose business is to criticize the govt whether valid or not. Sure implementation sucked, but do you really expect Indian government to execute such a massive undertaking in such a short notice (necessary due to the secrecy aspect) smoothly? An organization and set of people who have never gotten things done properly can't all of a sudden turn around and become world class - and that too at a mammoth scale with the Indian population. I mean come on - decades of playing galli cricket, and you expect them to hit century in world cup? jalebi_bhai and Muloghonto 2
