BeautifulGame Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 England captain Eoin Morgan, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was lost in the last over. You'd win that game 9 times out of 10. First ball, and the decision of that ball didn't go our way. "When there is a lot on the line like a World Cup you would need to consider using DRS. Given he was an inexperienced umpire and is human, humans make mistakes. If this was a big game like a World Cup you'd be fuming with it. "The game never really got beyond us. Going into the 20th over needing eight runs you should win that. There's been very little between the sides." The amount of whinging England players does is extraordinary. Not just the media. Acting as if somehow they are invisible and beaten only because of poor umpires. If anyone remember the 3 ODI we lost we had a huge wide call not going in our favour in 49th over which arguably decided the game.Yet I didnt see Kohli moaning about in . Thank go we had DRS in the test series and ODI series.Would have been unbearable otherwise. King Tendulkar, New guy, sscomp32 and 1 other 4
WeStMiDz Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 To be fair that ump looked overawed and ready to give India a decision any time. DRS is a must. G_B_ and TheWall 1 1
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 They are whiners of the highest order.Nasser was whining on Tv. Did Morgan say that about the umpire?Thats a breach of ICC rules. sscomp32 and TheWall 2
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Just now, WeStMiDz said: To be fair that ump looked overawed and ready to give India a decision any time. DRS is a must. Really?I dont think so.
cric_fan Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Tbf, twelvth man won it for India. If it was the other way round, chaos would have ensued. TheWall, New guy, G_B_ and 1 other 4

Umpires makes mistakes.Doesnt me you have to act like a sore loser that too in a meaningless bilateral match. There is something called losing graciously which Morgan seems to struggling with.
BeautifulGame Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 They are whiners of the highest order.Nasser was whining on Tv. Did Morgan say that about the umpire?Thats a breach of ICC rules. Yep ,Morgan said it in sky post match interview.
chewy Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Part and parcel of the game, decisions always even out Most Umpires would have given Root out, it wasn't even clear cut in slow mo replays until snicko was used At least it wasn't Shakoor Rana level of umpiring Bystander 1
kosingh Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 I'd be mad too if this happened to India. But Poms whine about every little thing
Cricketics Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Thats not whining. Whining is when we defend a bad umpiring. Clearly umpiring was shyt. Not only Root's decision but even Kohli's first decision where he was out plumb. That was just total bull umpiring. England whine but so do us at times when decisions go bad against us. Everyone's the same. While Morgan might not be as simple and sporting as Stephen Flemming, he is talking about the dismissal to his own media and is basically sharing his opinion and kind of explaining and defending his team's defeat to its media who would be pissed of at him at this time for losing that game. BeautifulGame Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 I'd be mad too if this happened to India. But Poms whine about every little thing The point is it happened to us in the 3rd ODI and Kohli wasn't moaning about it in media. Newzealand had a rough series umpiring wise in the tests and yet Williamson never even once mentioned that. Being gracious in a defeat is something beyond Morgan it seems. TheWall and King Tendulkar 2
jalebi_bhai Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Poor umpiring is part and parcel of the game. Remember Harbhajan's dismissal when Broad got a hat-trick against us? Saw this live and couldn't believe he was given out... Bystander, express bowling, King Tendulkar and 1 other 4

chewy Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Though, they should allow 1 DRS in each innings, because a shocker in T20s is even more critical to the result express bowling, rahulrulezz and beetle 3

Kohli hasn't, but we, our people, our media, our former captains like Dhoni and all whine. Probably whine is not even the right word as it is an obvious reaction to poor decisions. But if that is what is being used, then yes, everyone whines. So yeah, like you said poms, Indians also whine. rahulrulezz 1
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Yep ,Morgan said it in sky post match interview. He needs to be banned by ICC for criticising the umpire. TheWall 1

rahulrulezz Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 That decision was pathetic to be honest. I would be so angry if that happened to India. Cricketics 1

I am talking about players .As I pointed out earlier I don't see Williamson doing it earlier in the season or Kohli. The way Morgan went on about is comical. King Tendulkar and GoldenSun 1 1
