narenpande1
It is all good ..when you win once a while. Ba$tard hypocrites. Also a lesson for stinking old hags in the Indian media who keep needling the team about doctored home pitches. Hope this result has knocked some sense into the cricketing fraternity, that the western press are fcuking third rate hypocrites. We should prepare what suits us to an extreme extent. Our batting was a disgusting shame. Ashwin too has not been in form, he needs like more than half a session to get his rhythm and leaks too many runs. This was also a lesson to the arrogant and ignorant here that never underestimate Australia. I had said it before too.. AuxiliA, rkt.india, kubrickian and 5 others 7 1 Link to comment

No one could have forseen it tbf but that's why rank turners are bad, they are like a lottery, our home advantage is not rank turners but flat wickets with a bit of turn, and we should always prepare those types of wickets, irrespective of what anyone says King Tendulkar 1 Link to comment

For what , to gift them a few high scoring draws ? This loss was atrocious. Keefe is a mediocre spinner. Our batters have never performed as pathetically as a unit in more than 2 years. Hopefully they would come back into their original form. kubrickian 1 Link to comment

They won't draw because our flat wickets crumble on the last day, with scoreboard pressure they have no hope of surviving, I'd be more than happy gifting a few extra runs to warner or smith than gifting wickets to a pie chucker like keefe, how many draws have we had on those flat wickets over the past few months? Rank turners should be banned King Tendulkar 1 Link to comment

South Africa is a far better all round test team than Australia. We cleaned them up on such pitches. BCCI itself has killed the skill by preparing green tops and bouncy wickets in Ranji then how can young batsman practice on rank turners to get themselves equipped for tests. Pathetic Link to comment

Pathetic We get plenty of turning tracks in domestics .Infact poor turning tracks that results in 2 day tests has been regular complaint against Ranji teams for a long time. Link to comment
Doctored Wicket
You are correct about never under estimating an opposition. But no one complains about wickets anymore. Unless they are really really poorly prepared by the curator. India are contemplating the types of wickets in the remainder of the series. But that is ok. It's called home ground advantage. Nothing to complain about. Link to comment
Trichromatic
It was a 300+ pitch. Why would they criticize it? They scored 550 runs in 2 innings here. hoti_to_kratisto and philcric 2 Link to comment

Not entirely true. Cricket gets a lot of coverage in Australia, England, South Africa etc. But in Western countries Cricket competes with a lot of other sports that are bigger than Cricket in those countries and is not as big (prob #2 or #3) whereas in India, Cricket rules the roost.
