Ankit_sharma03 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 If kohli gets ruled out of 4th test to.....who should take his place??? U never know with these injuries and kohli is the main player of this team in every format who by no means shud be rushed into the team. If his injury turns out to be serious who shud take his place. This might be a chance to try an extra batsman before the tough test season begins. 1. Rohit sharma- Most likely to be picked. But whats the point 2. Shreyas iyer- My pick.....as he has the ability to take aus spinners completely out of the game. My only concern with him was starc who is out of the series. Also a good time to try him as we wud need good backups when overseas tours begin. 3. Vijay Shankar- He is a good enough batsman and needs to be tried before we go out . He nair n vijay can also fill the 5th bowler quota next game. Mosher 1
Number Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 I just saw this on my tuittar. New guy, Laaloo and CrokeyCricket 3
CrokeyCricket Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) As an Australian fan, Rohit Sharma always scares me! But you are right, Shreyas iyer would be the way to go if he was ruled out. Edited March 16, 2017 by CrokeyCricket Wording
flat_wicket_bully Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Its either going to be Shreyas Iyer or Rohit Sharma
Texy Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Duh it's obvious...we'll bring back Dhoni out of retirement
express bowling Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Play Jayant Yadav He is a good batsman in India and can be the 5th bowler
Pollack Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 No one can replace Kohli. His absence would be a big blow for India. However we have players in the team capable to raise their game and fill the void.Technically he should be replaced by Rohit Sharma if fit or anyone honestly.

Had it been rahane in these conditions jayant had a case.
kira Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Kohli will play the 4th test, there won't be any need for a replacement
speedheat Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Rohit sharma for his experience also make ashwin a captain

speedheat Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 I don't think icfers here will satisfy unless we bring out kohli clone
bowl_out Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) If that happens, don't think they'll bring in somebody new and play them right away.. If Kohli's injury is bad and he can't play the 4th test, Abhinav Mukund or Jayant Yadav will most likely replace him Edited March 17, 2017 by bowl_out
moniker Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Kind of funny how there is no backup middle order batsman in a squad of 16. But it's a home tourney anyway so probably doesn't matter.
