James ANDERSON on the defeat - Must watch

Recommended Posts

A very candid interview. Have a listen. The guy put things into perspective and answers well. Loved his answer on what the young pacers should learn to do if they need to be successful and what it takes to win a game in Australia.

He talks about the pace which is needed and how pressure needs to be applied from both the ends, which England did not do.

It is one of the best interviews recently and a very honest interview

Leaving Interview aside but have No respect for him. One trick pony and a sore loser .

He is a top bowker on English wickets thats for sure. I enjoy watching him bowl. He has improved over the years his performance in Australia also. He was brilliant on this tour.

He made some excellent points. Especially that to do well you have to keep applying pressure from both ends otherwise guys like Smith will keep ensuring that Australia is ahead in the game.

Guy is a master of swing bowling and that alone is a brilliant aspect of the game and something which is brilliant to watch.

I will pay to watch him bowl. He is once in a generation bowler like many other greats.

Very honest. But he failed to ask/ disclose why Barbie didnt perform as expected. Injury?

That's hard to judge. Barbie has been a better bowler as a tourist to other countries when sometimes Anderson has failed. As in India, he was more threatening most times with his in cutters and stuff even when there was no swing or much in the pitch as compared to Anderson. So these things happen. I agree with the point of Anderson though that if you release pressure from the other end even if you have one guy bowling extremely well form one end, the whole work might be futile at times.

We have done this same thing on the last two tours where Michael Clarke and Steve Smith have given us hard time. We have failed to put pressure from both ends consistently.

Same answer as batsmen didn't score runs, spinners didn't take wickets and also why India didn't beat South Africa in first test. ....Not Good Enough on the day

Man my respect for him as a person has skyrocketed today thanks to cricketics for the video, genuinely honest answers

"You need x factor to win in Australia, you either need 95mph pacer or a mystery spinner" spot on.

McGrath was no 95 mph.

Padosis never had any 95mph bowler apart from akhtar, all those others were hyped up trundlers, ishant sharma bowls faster than them :phehe:

Padosi phhaaast bowlers have not won a game in Australia in what 20+ years but guess who was the man of the match in Perth when India won a test there

Mcgrath was xceptionally consistent wih his line and length even though not express pace, but had decent pace with exceptionally consistent line to do the damage. Not many emerge like him.

Hazlewood is very much like him, though far away from achieving what Mcgrath did but he is on course.

McGrath was no muck when it comes to pace, was consistent 137k to 143k pacer which is good enough pace if you has height and extraordinary accuracy like mcgra in Australia, by 95mph Jimmy was talking about variation which was missing in their attack this series.

I was fan of irfan , I am ok if an allrounder like irfan bowls at trundling pace but A  82mph specialist pacer opening the bowling for us????? Hell No :wall:
