Let's be real. T20 cricket achievement is a domestic affair largely. Dhoni captained a CSK side that was the closest anyone has ever been to possessing an aura of in IPL. He should go but let's give him his due.

Unfortunately though, no matter what Pant does, when MSK Prasad and his gang start selecting teams, I am pretty sure Dhoni would be a default pick as the keeper and to compromise, they might just pick Pant as a batsman.
