Senseless Selection Plagues Indian Team, Is this the freedom Virat wanted and Kumble opposed?

The selection of starting XI of the Indian team has gone from being odd to shocking to simply ridiculous.

 

The best Indian ODI bowler Mohammad Shami struggles to get a match but Ashwin who despite his Test heroics isnt a very good ODI spinner keeps playing so does Jadeja.

 

Then to top it all Rishabh Pant a 19yr old young explosive wicketkeeper batsman is kept waiting in the dressing room.When a player gets injured Pant doesnt get a chance but a 32 yr old wicketkeeper Batsman who has played 71 odis and 23 tests and avgs just about 27 in both is given a chance.He is a tried and tested failure but he gets in the team Pant doesnt.

 

Its has been said that one of the reasons the coach and captain didnt get on was that the captain wanted his own team and didnt want any interference in team selection.Is this the team selection that Kumble was opposing?

why do players like virat forget their own time when they were young,dhoni didnt just play him but played him as an opener vs lanka when he was 19 and at that time he wasnt as good as pant is at his age 

now virat is hell bent on playing experienced players

so they are playing the monkey kd Karthik, who cannot hold a stick in his hands for 5 minutes, forget his place in the team.

he doesn't not forget how his seniors like God played for their stats even beyond expiry date...

had virat kohli played in 2011 tour to England in place of god - as a support batsman to Rahul Dravid, then he wouldn't have utter-flopped in the 2014 series where he was the batting mainstay

Dhoni is going nowhere.Its Yuvraj who will be in danger.May be they want someone other than Pant to replace Yuvi.

Some players ie Rahane, Rayuddu, Karthik,Axar, are floaters that Kohli wants, so that his favourite players can come back in the team when they want.

 

Inspite of scoring some 50 s in the series, Rahane can be dropped once Rohit is back in the squad.But if Pant scores a good inning it will be difficult to drop him.

 

Now Kuldeep has bowled well, so Kohli has no option but to play either of Ashwin or Jadeja.

 

Kohli does not want to do the mistake by giving a game to Pant

Why is Pant not playing / Raina and Krunal P should have been in the team instead of Jadeja

No I am not but let's not bring a personal agenda against someone and turn everything around it.   Whether Mumbai lad get more chances is a different story and again open for debate but to give that credit to Shastri and Tendulkar is very premature
