His selections have been baffling, at least in tests. Kohli wanted cash in as much aspossible with Shikars form. But it will hurt India overseas.

Rkt there is no place to hide here. Puj and Vijay can not be dropped they are the ones who make least amount of mistakes in say their first 100 deliveries faced pace and spin. In vijays case pace as he does make mistakes against spin as he does not respect spin. Dhawan can be a no 5 or 6. Rahul is the other opener. Dhawan can not face opening bowling he simply has not shown thw game for it. It crucial to let opening bowler do their thing first hour and see it off. Both edges will be in play not time to score..lol we saw what dhawan did in green overcast track in kolkata same thing will happen in wanderers.

Austin 3:!6 Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 OPs hatred continues...no words for Rahul's failure but just point fingure towards Dhawan.Reasons:1) Rahul is from Karnataka (OPs home state)2) Dhawan is a northy whom OP dislike.Pathetic discrimination if you ask me#FACTSent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

He already played 3 ranji games before the last game and scored 140 in the game against odissa played few days prior to the 1st test What assessment was done by the team management benching vijay Nair was dropped after 300 the next test series giving the logic that regular who missed out due to injury will have 1st preference. Why a different parameter 6 hours ago, The Dark Horse said: He has dropped Pujara for Rohit too once, so it's not a one off. In australia, by that time pujara had many failures and some change was to happen So the change was ok but making rohit bat at 3 was a stupid idea.......even though he scored a bit of runs but still we all knew rohit's game here my another problem with kohli, he tries something but doesnt stick with it for long. It was his idea to have Rohit at 3 and have the sehwag impact no matter how stupid ur idea atleast back coz u didnt think trying it that was a stupid idea. Also same with rahul .....one game at 4 only
wanted_desi Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Dhawan is buddy of Kohli, so thats why he will sneak in unless Vijay and KL are performing 135%. What about Rohit Sharma? This guy is going to get exposed so badly on tough tracks.

Kohli prefers batsmen who score faster just like he prefers bowlers who bowl faster. It is obvious to see. That is why he will always prefer Rahul and Dhawan over Vijay and Pujara. Pujara's form has made him undroppable but do people remember when he was out of the team for Rohit?

Pujara's form has made him undroppable Way to exaggerate. Pujara was dropped for just few tests in one instance and not regularly and that was a mistake which he and management realized and it has never happened again. Way to exaggerate. By your statement, Dhoni should have never played in t20 for India under Kohli as he plays very slow now.

But there is no doubt he prefers batsmen who score faster. Pujara had to prove himself big time, if he had made half the runs he did, he would have been dropped.

He might prefer faster to score people is a different thing but doesn’t mean he will drop Pujara now. Pujara is currently 100 some not out and has played about 330 balls but Kohli understands thats his game. Like I said, that was a move Kohli tried and realized its not tthe right move and he changed it back.
Khota Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Dhawan is a damn good playerDhawan is a very good player. If you cannot see that he is better than Vijay than you need to clean your glasses. The only problem I see with Dhawans game is that he is prone to unforced errors (borrowed the term from tennis). If there is a real coach that can be sorted out. Vijay is a good player too but I will put dhawan over him.
