Straight Drive
There are too many better T20 batsmen than him at this point of time. Don't think he will be picked for T20i this year as well. Link to comment
MCcricket
He might not be suited for t20 at this point but this guy is a very good batsmen n hope selectors r not as myopic as some ignorant posters here, judging him by the tamasha league, he should get a chance in test n odi this year n A tours. fineleg
^ In A-tours (loi and longer format) but A-tours only. Let's see what he can or cannot do there first. No Team India squad until then. Link to comment
tweaker
Mayank Agarwal has knack of scoring hundreds. Back to back hundreds in A team against windies A & , England A Link to comment

sandeep
Mayank Agarwal reminds me of Dinesh Mongia. Score big hundreds against lower level bowlers, gone missing against better opposition. velu and Ankit_sharma03 2 Link to comment
tweaker
Another 100 today against SA A .If the selection committee feels Shaw is too raw, Mayank fits the selection criteria. Link to comment
GautiMaan
I believe the Maggernaut only rolls around in India.Dont recall a standout performance in the A tour velu 1 Link to comment
saik
Mayank performed well in the ODI's in the A tour but failed miserably in the tests. So maybe he is a FTB? Link to comment
kohli
another 200 .if vijay dhwan flop in next 2 test, send mayank ,shaw to England for last 2 test.atleast one of them are necessary in senior team in place of dhwan Link to comment
Lannister
Mayank should look to score 400. This is the only way that selectors will take notice and dispose Dhawan from the Test team. Has anyone ever scored 400 in first class cricket? Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
Well im glad to see my junior from school do well but honestly don't think he's good enough for test cricket. Especially on foreign soil. Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
Illl stand by my opinion that i dnt rate him highly for international cricket,But thats just my opinion Havin said this guy is performing so well that he is almost breaking the door, he shud be selected with shaw for next test series at home against WI if vijay keeps failing. Ill love if m proven wrong Selection seem to be based on certain guidelines set :- 1. Should have experience of domestic cricket and do well. 2. Get selected to A teams based on domestic performance. 3. Succeed in overseas A tours. As he has done well (infact looks like no.1 perfomer on all above recently), selectors have to move him to national team . After setting these goal posts , they cannot select someone else . That will be changing the goal posts again. Not sure will he be success overseas , but you now cannot deny him a chance to play at test level. You never know, at that level it is more of temperament and some descipline in shot selection. Looks like will come good on 50 overs atleast. Link to comment

Its just a personal opinion n ill be happy to be proven wrong I dnt rate him high, but i cnt deny he has given perfomance which shud force selectors to select him In 50 over their is no place but in test their is a vacancy now ...may be even 2 Link to comment
MCcricket
Mayamk is a serious batsmen and has taken his game to the next, level, has the technique, gears, skills, now seems to have gained the mental edge as well, I would pick him any day and he deserves it. Link to comment

He probably should have had one more big score in FC to make it a great tour. Link to comment
