Forever Indian Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Leg spinner with average of 27 Technically correct batsman with average of 36 Seems to be developing his batting a lot, can be developed for no.6/7 slot in tests. The fact that he is a proper leggie is what interests me most. Being a technically correct batsman and a leggie will mean he can be very useful overseas.

He was always a specialist batsman who could bowl leg spin but his early success with the ball very much like Washington labeled him a bowler while he actually was a batsman who used to bat in top 6 and even opened at time for Karnataka at junior and U22 levels. This is the reason he could not develop his batting further as they started playing him more as a bowler who could bat and batted at 7 or 8 mostly. Forever Indian 1

Defenitely looked solid while batting, needs to be given chances in next A tours.
