He has improved massively in last 12 months . You call him crap is pathetic . Guy bowls nearly 90 mph . X factor in field with amazing athleticism . Bats with pure power and can smash ball out of stadium . If that’s crap ......ffs

Fair enough

his bowling is weakest suit of the 3 . But if other bowlers do their job can give him licenece to run in and bowl quick for 4/5 overs . If they not doing job maybe a case have to come and try bowl economy and relieve work load

The kid is not finished article but imo has serous X factor . Just like flintoff and stokes often did not produce stats but always kept in team and they developed and came good . The guy is once in generation player for India

He will be inconsistent . At time may struggle

but mark my words will have some fantastic moments

can bow , bat and field . Stokes numbers don’t add up but contribution to team great . Same will be for pandya . Pandya just starting but by end of 2018 will inproved a lot . I expect at least one exhilarating knock v sa were smashes quick fire 80 plus

Stokes made a 100 on day 5 Perth eicket., Has taken few five for already. He has scored 258 versus South Africa, that too in SA (Capetown) iirc. Without Stokes England is struggling in this Ashes. He is already a main player for them.

Lol stokes doesn't have stats. Bro Take a look at it. With the same no. of innings, Hazelwood has only got 30 wickets above Stokes. Now Stokes is a 5th bowler and Hazelwood bowls with the new ball. Stokes will go down with 6k runs and 250 wickets minimum.

Yes for a long time stokes was all potential . Stats still are not great really

Need to be realistic in terms of what we expect. I hope he plays all three tests.

Bowling, If he takes on average 2 to 3 wickets a test, bowled some good spells to give the front line guys a break

With the bat expect a bit more , hopefully end the series with an average of between 35 and 40- some useful quick runs, possibly middle order collapse rescuing

2-3 wickets wil bring him to level of Ishant Sharma who is our 2nd or 3rd pacer.

Realistically if he manages to remain wicketless in a day that will be good enough for us. 1.5 wickets on average

This thread has turned into joke (after today)

i guess McBoobs and Kohli do deserve a Nobel award

Kohli will ger hailed for playing Pandya while get a lot of stick for playing Rohit and Dhawan.

If Rohit ends up hacking his way to 50 in the 2nd innings then god save the queen

I have been a supporter of Pandya as the allrounder for a while now. However, we should not get ahead of ourselves. He could easily have been out for 14 if Elgar had held on to the catch, or if he had nicked any of the Dale Steyn outswingers that he got squared up against. He will fail with the bat as the series goes along. We need to be patient, he has shown his mettle against good fast bowlers from Australia and South Africa now. He will need to prove his consistency now. He should bat at no. 6 and be able to average >40 and <33 with the bat and ball respectively. If that happens and if Kohli picks the right batsmen in the team, India can still hope.
