it's a very strong record, and rightfully so. could have won more tests, and had less draws, if our bowling was better.

 

regd silence, it's because they are all bcci chamchas or depend on t20 revenue indirectly for livelihood.

The true minnows of world cricket , rot started under Cool/Srini reign but we never bothered to course correct. Now the question isn't whether we can ever equal Aus or SA or WI or Eng or Pak in test cricket, it is how to stop us from becoming worse than Bangladesh 20 years from now. Lanka which got test status in the 80s has a better overseas record than us, Mighty India the 130+ crore population megapower where cricket is religion and whose cricket board is the richest of them all.

Bolna ka hain bhai!!. Maine to pehle bol diya tha, India harega. No match preparation for such a difficult tour, coming thinking they own the world since they defeated everyone on home pattas, etc. etc. Unless there is a change in mindset of team India and especially the BCCI bhaichauts, India will not win an overseas tour in SA, Eng, Aus, or even NZ for another decade.

This only implies that we are not selecting the best 11 for overseas tours. Probably need a dedicated captain and coach for tests. Shastri And Kohli can look after LOIs

Bottom line is.. since the inception of IPL, BCCI has stopped giving two tattis about overseas tests. When IPL and LOI cricket is there to give you money in the billions then why the heck would any player go out of his way to practice for foreign tours. Reception parties, honeymoons, sightseeing tours and shopping trips are more important bhai.

AUS 1995  (a dead rubber). They last won a live Test in Australia in the 70s .

At the end of Jan 2019 i.e 2 more tests in SA, 5 in Eng and 4 in Aus what will our tally be? I am leaning towards 3-22. Man this pathetic record may take a few decades to become a tad less embarrassing, if any other sports team in India goes through a similar dreadful run, that sport is as good as finished, hum Indian cricket fans sab ke sab chewtiye hain.

Could have easily won a test in NZ if current captain hadn't decided to be a club level fielder.

In Aus this team deserved 4-0. It had nothing to escape that. No batsmen, no bowlers.

 

Worst was 4-0 in England. That series had luck going in favor of Indian team, but stil lost all. Any other year, similar team would have made it 1-0 at worst (with 1st, 2nd and 4th match as drawn) and 1-1 at best (with 1st and 4th as drawn, 2nd as won, 3rd as lost).

 

NZ, SA missed 1-1 at both places.

All teams have atrocious records but look at us, even worse than Sri Lanka !!!!! Pakistan in spite of the 2010 fixing saga and with a relatively weaker team (compared to the Pak teams of 80s-90s-00s) has done the best. Aus, Eng, SA ko choro, humaari itni bhee aukaat nahi hai ki in donon mulkon ke fans ke saamne muh dikhaye, feel like puking after checking this out. Bikau media and rabid fans would like us to believe all is hunky dory and we are in a great era of Indian cricket, 1-15 kya hai? Do we even deserve 3/4/5 test series' in those countries with this record. Only because of $$$ we are invited else we aren't fit to get even a 3 test series in these countries. Fondly remember the 'match kaa mujrim' days when Bedi would rip apart our players and management for even small mistakes, abhi toh sab bike hue hai. RIP Indian Cricket, we donkeys only deserve a donkey style jumping jhapak league like IPL.......if priorities are for the good of Indian cricket shouldn't we fix this abomination of a record first? Dhoni, Kohli, Bevda, commentators, ex players, BCCI walleh sab ke sab bhadwe hai saale.
