All players were free. Why didn't Kohli ask for extra match? Do you think if he had asked BCCI would have denied? Is his authority limited to dosti yaari and Kumble only.

 

Pants warm up or whatever, how can a match practice be compared to indoor practice?

This is what I mean . Haters gonna hate lol Kohli to blame for Sri Lanka series . Anyone who knows anything about Indian cricket knows he was very unhappy about it and had press conference were expressed this

So why was he complaining in PC? Please don't  pretend that he is some kind of powerless, helpless guy who has to go to media if he has some issue. He was doing just his PR campaign and nothing else.

Always wonder as to why they don't play some 4 day practice matches by making 2 teams from team members itself along with some promising youngsters in the most pace bowling conditions and pitches in India before turning out  for such important tours.

That’s kind of what they did and why cancelled warm up game 

 

as such short time scale between warm up and test. So home team always stitches away team up . Provides pitches nothing like what face in tests , let them play v awful kids team basically , all get 50 not out and retire etc . So they decided to have internal practice and control state of wicket to give realsitc practice

well, their defensive shots look very different to their scoring shots. that is a problem.

I wouldn't have said if he wasn't shedding crocodile tears in PC. He is worried about his image and tried to deflect blame on BCCI. Not saying that blame doesn't go to BCCI, but Kohli is in position where he can do something and he didn't.

 

Most of our test team was free for whole month.

I really hope we get a similar pitch next match . SA may play safe , knowing our bowlers can hurt them may go a flat pitch ..where our batsmen can still screw up .

How many warm up matches of the sort I suggested did they play before setting off for the tour?May be one or most probably 2.That's not at all enough.Minimum of 5 to 6 such matches needed to have played in the most fastest of pitches and seam conditions in India.But,despite  having all the facilities, they didn't do that, which is the most unfortunate thing.

On a side note, never expect much from this BCCI and the core, one will get only disappointed.When money is all that matters, such results are the order, any way.
