Exactly, Leads from the front with batting and by example with his fitness. Despite this, some would prefer a captain who sounds like a constipated duck when he shouts “Rai naaa” in a really high pitched girly voice

Subjective way of looking at this

Kohli is good at handling fast bowlers and 5th bowler, Dhoni was decent  at handling spinners and when he had limited resources.

If Dhoni used to play the same team over and over despite drubbing after drubbing,Kohli changes the core of the team pretty much every other match as his record states.

Kohli makes the side as the best player in the team where as Dhoni was even though never the best player in Indian team  , at least for what it’s worth till 2011-2012 he was the best keeper bat in India as unfortunate as that was. Even though his keeping to pacers was a let down he was better than the Karthik’s and Pappus of the world and his keeping to spinners was world class.

That made him the most assured player in the side as well just like Kohli.

Kohli has his favorites and Dhoni had his.

Both preferred yes men as coaches.

What makes Kohli a little more endearing is purely as a cricketer  he is leagues ahead of Dhoni and he is excellent at handling fast bowling which is refreshing to see compared to our previous captains.

Apart from that they are 2 peas from the same

pod. They are just on the extreme sides of the spectrum...when we get a captain somewhere in the middle that is when we will have the perfect captain.Kohli is still young and since there is no alternative currently has time on his hands to

imorove and truly become the best captain ever but right now, he is not that good.

He has big problems with his players on the field? They have no confidence? Lacking scoring runs ? Not taking wickets?

Of course he does all coming from being poor captain off the playing field.  No man management skills etc etc which proves my point a captain is not just on field and  should not be looked that way.

It's like saying he's a great Formula 1 driver just terrible on the breaking part

Not on field, did he stopped players or betters peforming on field??? ftb like dhawan  got exposed lol and that was predicted well before this series, What not taking wickets?? Lol we have got 40wickets in this series irrespective of those drop catches, obviously when you drop catches confidence will go down , he is not here to give confidence they are all highly paid professionals, again I tel you  its his pathetic selection and over reliances on ttfs is causing problems not his on field captaincy

We do agree,  what I am saying is that the crazy decisions off field are have a big impact onfield . It's not a team onfield, The batters know he has no confidence in them , they are all better than they are playing just now. I get the feeling Kohli expects them to be like him,  that's never going to happen he is a one off in his generation,  it's his job to boost their confidence and make them feel world beaters.  Smith's better with his team there

So that's the differences btwn on and off field captaincy or captaincy flaws, which earlier you declined, now you agree.

Dhoni's highest batting rating in test cricket is 662 back in 2010 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Dhoni retired before reaching his peak. If he played tests like how he plays odis and t20s these days, he would have achieved a higher rating. :agree:
