May seem too far fetched but he is my left field choice for worldcup 2019 as a backup for nbr 3,4. Hope he does well tomorrow in the quarters and further. Mosher and express bowling 2

IPl won’t show much to selectors other than help Shumbman learn from his own failures there. Kohli struggled in IPl first few years but he was regularly doing well for Indian in ODI’s but kept getting dropped and did not even get picked in the t20 world cup based on 50 over reputation in 2009 wt20. It was pathetic move since Kohli had started to do well in t20 and should have been picked for that t20 world cup where we sucked in England and crashed out. Gil will learn from IPL surely but t20 usually doesn’t let a batsman in particular a youngster settle down as you have only few overs to bat if you come in the middle and the demands are high since the run rate has to be up all the time and that might prevent his selection into Indian team fast. Yes but then if he plays couple of eye catching innings like Shreyas Iyer and pant have done and against good bowling attacks it should hold him good in the eyes of the selectors and team management. He would be in their radar.

Most of our young cricketers have prospered in the Mumbai setup.
