Batting and bowling are 2 different disciplines of cricket.

I was not talking about bowling, I was talking about batting only , Sachin's fans want people to believe Indian batting was all about Sachin, if he got out India had no chance which was farther from truth. It is Sachin who never raised his bar when his team needed him most lost of times.

As far as batsmanship is concerned Kohli is no match to Sachin but I feel Kohli especially last two years has found his test mojo and has a chance to better Sachin.

Holding is lot smarter and experienced than you think.  He knows that Kohli will not be ever considered to be as good as top 10 bats of all time by significantly high percentage of Cricket Pundits(including ex players).

So what he was doing by putting Sachins name in mix is termed as "Trolling"

I don't think Holding is that, he has always been outspoken and he has nothing to troll.

Who said Kohli has no chance to be in top ten. He is already a shoo in ODI all time eleven .Guy might end up scoring more than 35 plus hundreds and why would he not end up in top 10.

I do not want to describe too much here but it has come to me by experience. You will learn too. For time being, just take it that Kohli has committed enough sins off field not to be considered as top cricketing Great.

Clue: KP is not considered a English cricketing great while not a single English bat comes anywhere close  to his batting.

Sorry I have no interest in any cricketer's off the field activities, I am just fan of their game.I only care what they do on the field, off the field what they do is none of my business.

You have right have to your opinion.

India had lost a lot of matches  in which Sachin  scored heavily, especially abroad.Quite naturally that implies that those where the occasions Indian team badly needed Sachin to score heavily because had Sachin got out cheaply on each and every of those occasions India would have lost  those matches by even bigger margins.Isn't it so ,because Sachin got out cheaply doesn't  mean others would naturally have scored runs??That means you are simply contradicting your self.

give me one match where  he was the top scorer from both sides?I doubt it happened especially away from India.

Scored 97 in a low scoring game against Donald/Pollock where no one else scored more than 50. Thoughts?

None of the Pundits are publicly bothered by Kohli's off-field behaviour.  All I hear is them singing praises.... Pundits of every country.

If Tendy's career had ended around 2004 or so, he would have universally been considered as the greatest since Bradman.  And that would have been a 17 year career.   But because he was still international calibre for an additional decade, perversely it takes away from his greatness.   Only for the ignorant though.

He needed that extra decade though to ensure he has the World Cup in his resume. That phase would always be considered very important for him.

I know what you mean, but I feel his some of the top knocks came right after 2004 till 2011 world cup, like the first double hundred to the 180 odd against Australia at home in a chase.

I'm talking about Tendy the test batsman.

Its just random meaningless statistical sub-slices fabricated to perpetuate one's biases against a bonafide giant of the game.  Just another example of why Tendy's longevity in the game - something that is actually testament to the depth of his abilities - works massively against him.

Does these kinds of posts even deserve answers. If people cannot take 2 minutes to look up something so obvious before blabbering something which is completely false?

When Kohli loses form vultures like you would be the forst one to bite on him and try to find every single weakness of his. I can guarantee that. As for your post, this song has been sung a million times before Sachin retired and o n various forums. A million times cold, hard facts have been brought up to prove the likes of you wrong. I don't see why any person should take any effort to do that again for the likes of you

some people want to post messages just 'for the sake of arguing'.In doing so, criterias  which have no relation  to the context of the topic would spring up automatically

That's a bit harsh - I think you need to account for the tendency to succumb to our own confirmation biases - this is true for all of us.

While others have cited a few, three have taken place in South Africa alone.
