And yes, you were onboard as well. Fair's fair. I know you were , one of the few . Virat Kohli will be hurting because he knows it's a chance lost which if he is really honest he knows he played a part in it but I wonder if a few of them are hurting or just glad to get the series over with ?

I don't think any of the test players would be "glad to get the series over with", knowing they had such a good chance at winning the series. Maybe a fringe guy like Dhawan? But that's about it. India's squad are all millionaires, but they know the real pride and sense of achievement associated with away test wins. I just hope that Rahane and Bhuvi are permanent fixtures in the XI going forward, and so is Pujara for the foreseeable future. This series ought to have taught VK a strong lesson that he shouldn't eff around with the test team to accommodate his biases. If he does that, then I think India have at least a 50-50 chance of winning the England series. As long as fitness issues don't crop up.

England only have two batsmen in top five and for one of them probably his last series so this bowling unit won't have a better chance of creating a name for themselves but India bottom find two openers who will bat in English conditions because I don't think whatever taking it three you have can . For what it's worth ( nothing) I predict Indian win

cric_fan Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Before you throw up again with your garbage stats don't forget in 2013 Pakistan lost to freaking zimbabwe in a Test match. Yes right. In this era losing to zmbabwe in Tests is akin to losing to paupa guinea in one dayers. But still a better away record than India..you can’t seem to explain that so you bring Pakisan losses in to the argument.

This article basically considers away tours for a very short period ...Jul 2011 to Dec 2014. It was a time of transition for our team, biggest names in Indian cricket nearing the end of their long careers and then new guys taking over. If you consider a longer period ... 18 years in this century ... then India has been the best Asian team out of Asia. kira Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 If phateecharstan had played the test match on the pitch at wanderers they would have broken their spectacular record set in 2002 against Australia of losing a test match within 2 days. They were bowled out for 50 in both innings on a flat patta in Dubai, I can only imagine the devastation if they had played on this pitch, my guess is two sub 30 scores by phateecharstan with five players in the hospital by the end of the match had they faced SA on this pitch Vilander, Jimmy Cliff, Gollum and 4 others 1 6

If someone claimed that Indian team has nothing to prove, or an ATG team. But to bring it up in a thread when the team has fought so well in hostile conditions, and just won a brilliant test match, is just sour grapes. The guy is not a troll all the time. He's a good part of the diversity of opinions on ICF. only part-time troll. Unfortunately this is one of those times.
