Is KL Rahul mentally shot?

He played most of the shots with nervousness. It is really stunting his growth as a batsman.Frequent dropping didn't exactly help either. But why so much nervousness like someone playing his first match. He was like that in Tests as well.

A good IPL knock being watched by many fans on TV and he will be back into his regular mood and gain confidence back. Things change quickly so all those youngsters who couldn’t impress in this series or did not get much chance recently, must not lose hope. That includes Hooda, Pant, Rahul, Shankar etc.

Feel bad for him and vijay shankar bur hey they have age on their side.

It definitely has an effect on him,we can still salvage him by giving him an extended run in ODIs, tell him you ll play next 20 ODI's ,and let him just go for it.

Otherwise i am afraid we might just loose a great talent by utter mismanagement of the team management and selectors.

As @Vilander has pointed out he has age on his side but he needs to improve his game.

I hope he plays and perform at no. 4 this IPL ,just to prove a point.

The kid definitely has temperament issues. He is young, but can no longer call him a new comer to the international scene. But I suspect he will just have a Ramnaresh Sarwan type career.

I think he is having a tough time with the team. Maybe Virat or someone... He does look like an introvert.

I am looking forward to his IPL stint. Hope he makes good use of the opportunity. He will be playing as a top batsman in his team, so that should give him some freedom.
