Very good analysis by Nehraji. He knows the strengths and weakness of all the bowlers. Umesh's success this IPL had a lot to do with Nehra. Make him the bowling coach

We are not good at anything we still advise :) SO i won't discount his advice. Of all the three Umesh is more likely to make an impact with even slight improvement. Umesh also has to improve his ability to set up batsmen. Ishant's problem is not just length. It is much more than that. Shami is good at setting up batsmen. He has the mindset of taking wickets. But at this point he is not going at full tilt to improve the duration in a match. He has all the ingredients. Almost if not.

Nehra is basically saying the seam bowling "attack" is crap, all of them have major issues that require fixing.

 

The fact that two 30 year olds and a late 30 something have such glaring weaknesses inspires little confidence that they will do much in a tough test series, just have not got the stamina or the skills to last that long.
