Dinesh Kartik has been disappointing

All his career i supported him. He looked technically good. But somehow failed to deliver in test cricket and some how managed to be inconsistent even in odis.

Tbh he can still be good in LOIs, but his test career is sealed.

He is very good in T20s and decent in odis.

He is a goner. He is fidgety, nervous, was never going to realize whatever the potential he showed.

He is an asset in LOIs and I hope selectors don't confuse the formats. In test matches, I think both his keeping and batting were not up to mark.

Pant looked much better keeper than Karthik. Karthik is a failure and will fail in ODIs too.

Apparently this should be it for him, fortunately for us and unfortunately for him he has wasted whatever opportunities conferred to him, means no excuses or sympathy for him at least from my side.

However he can still be in the t20 squad as a second wkeeper for some time which should be a bounty  for his stellar knock vs Bangladesh.

He dropped 1 catch in 2 tests and apparently that’s bad..anyways he had an opportunity and didn’t make use of it. Bit harsh but that’s the reality.

Dhoni was average in T20s and Tests. If Karthik was any good he would have  pushed Dhoni out in at least one of the formats.

Kartik should focus on LOIs where he is likely to be successful relatively .... he could have been persisted with in tests but we have Saha and now Pant, who needs to be groomed

Never expected him to do anything so not really dissappointed. Let this be a lesson for picking players for what they did 10 years ago.

karthik was a good enough batsman in terms of talent that had he done well he wud have played as batsman only

He n uthappa were the 2 who cud play 360, but problem was their brains went bonkers 360 deg to
