Anyway this 5 bowler strategy needs to stop atleast in tests in Asia. 2 fast bowlers and 2 spinners is plenty. Need someone like vihari as an extra batsman and to play the role of the 5th bowler. Batting looks really thin especially with the inconsistency of Rahul and the mental midgetry of Rahane.

i am also of the same opinion. the on going test  is exactly showing this. trundler Thakur only benefitted   in reducing team  strength to 10. Playing Vihari   not only effects to  having a  5th bowler, but gives an additional oppertunity of grooming one more batsman to choose from especially in SENA too.

Tbh up until 2016 it was his injuries that were holding him back. Kohli and Shastri were stupid enough to drop him against SL in 2017 but have given him a decent run of 10 Tests this year. Anyway I hope he turns it around in Australia.

Remember, how he was dropped after Australia Test series, when he was scoring 50s for fun. That was the turning point for him.

It's a little more complicated than that. His power game has improved out of sight which helped him become the best specialist bat in this year's IPL but he seems to have regressed defensively. I don't recall him being this susceptible to the incoming delivery 12-18 months ago.

Yes he has got his chances off late but has ruined it ,he himself is to be blamed here

Im also quite sure that he will make it to the wc squad

He needs to believe a little coz chances can come here and there or at any time ,he just needs to perform there are many who have found it far more worse, like Siraj,Nair etc atleast he's is been given opportunity,

I will always want him in my team acrosss formats as he is the best bat after Kohli in the team

So its really not worth it,for the second best bat in the team not sure of his chances, at least make best possible use of the current ones ,dont pay too much heed to forthcoming developments

Captain Phillips > Vice captain Rahane

Malnourished Somali pirates in Captain Phillips > Malnourished Rahane

Boring Rahane scores a half century should not tour Australia  but I will admit that  your Smackdowns on him hurts a lot :(( .Sad watching him become a headless chicken who looks afraid out there.

Of course you'd say that because you're a loser who loves to lose. Your bambis team lost in IPL despite cheating and your pakistani team got humiliated in Asia Cup so ofcourse you wouldn't watch

You'd rather a watch a test that India lost.

Cheating? What's that? Sorry I don't support the yellow **** stained team so I'm not aware of the cheating genes you losers inherit.

But you didn't see this kind of treatment by the team management to the likes of Pujara, Rahane and Kohli, in the initial stage of their careers.

I have never seen a player getting dropped after performing so well in a series. He was never the same after that series.

It's obvious the doubt has crept into his game due to lack of confidence with his shot selections.

You support green, Pakistani green full of chuckers an cheaters

That's why you prefer to see matches where India lost and not matches where India won like Asia cup where your pakistani team couldn't even make the finals

Rahane has serious problems when it comes to conversion. So many half centuries which could easily be converted to a 100 by a better batsman. Too many times he has got out in the 70-85 range..doesn't help the team at all. Should carry on and give a buffo lead but nah..
