Bigg Brother
As far as ODIs are concerned,He is an integral part of the team,Won us handful of matches since debut. As far as Tests is concerned,Better if he misses out Australia tour..We will get to know how Specialist Batsman/Bowler performs whose place He is taking-Many think that including myself. raki05, UrmiSinhaRay and speedheat 1 2 Link to comment
goose
my concern is that he is this character that is perceived by team mates to be undroppable because of his extrovert ways edit. - unless of course his teams mates appreciate it - I am sceptical Edited October 18, 2018 by goose Switchblade and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

To become batting allrounder you should have ability to bat, sadly this gentleman has none.Indian team's quest to find so called balance has led to giving undeserving test caps to guys like Binny and Pandya. At the positions he bats at, his batting is ok .... and has played quite a few good innings .... Could he improve? Definitely! But not buying the argument that he can’t bat .... or cannot lend balance, etc. .... you can write all that if it makes you feel good but that is about it Edited October 18, 2018 by zen raki05 and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

He is batting at that spot because he not good enough to bat higher. To call him a batting allrounder is a joke.He is not good enough bowler to bat at the spot he bats, you can improve if you have basic skills , sadly Pandya lacks in both departments.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk UrmiSinhaRay, Switchblade and Khota 1 2 Link to comment

Sunny and Holding are talking about him not because he is worthy of being spoken about, but because he is totally **** and someone who doesnt deserve being anywhere close to the international team. If Virat wants to win anything, be it tests in Australia or in the world cup, this guy should be kicked out and kept as far as possible. There are plenty talented bowlers and batsmen who can do way better than this idiot. ^^^^^^This Rightarmfast, Switchblade and UrmiSinhaRay 2 1 Link to comment
kruiser
Wow.. for a guy who won you a test in the last series, who has won you multiple ODIs, so much hate! I guess if the matches were not on tv and people only followed radio commentary/ newspapers then he would have had a lot more fans. I think Vijay shankar will do better in test cricket (as batting all-rounder) I think he would have done very well as a batsman in the just concluded WI series at home. He struggles abroad just like our specialist batsmen. That being said, he needs to contribute well in at-least one discipline per match to justify his place. Sean Bradley
Excellent Talent, but if he can keep himself away from glamour and showbaazi, he will do great for himself, otherwise will end up being just another Lakir ka Fakir. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

rtmohanlal
so much criticism for a potential youngster who has just started off, played only 11 tests, 7 of them in SENA, proved that he has it in him to create utmost calibre knocks like the 93 vs a highest quality bowling line up in the toughest of batting conditions, won the only test in ENG with a brilliant all round performance, avg:ed less than 25 with the ball in a generally tough batting conditions in ENG and avg:es 31+ with both bat and ball as of now despite all these adversities. On the other hand, complete hacks like Pujara who has been utter mediocre in SENA ,even after 7 series in these countries does not even call for enough criticism. Just can't understand some of the double standard logics going on here. Link to comment
