As much as I hate Pandya, everyone knows I do, I wouldn't be averse to give him a chance provided this is a flat wicket. We need someone to take Lyon on & sadly there's no Sehwag in the team

People knocking Pandya like we have specialist batsmen who come into the side and set the world alight. In Australian conditions I fully expect his mindset to help him play some useful knocks given there is little sideways movement in the air. And his bowling looks to be in good rhythm while his fielding is always top notch.

 

Given the current state of the team & balance, his selection is a no brainer.

Vihari- Lets wait to pass the jury on him for sometime

Parthiv- he starts with a minus due to the number of catches he ll drop

Rohit sharma- Just becoz other are perfoming bad lets not forget he has been one of the worst option when it comes to overseas . Also he is currently injured

Rahul - his mind is a scramble egg

Pandya isnt needed when we have Vihari as a part-timer, just replace Umesh with Jaddu or Ashwin if fit. main 3 seamers are doing fine.

pandya should not replace vihari... if that happens i wish india lose by more than an innings to put a slap on virat and shastri's face.. pandya can come instead of yadav.

 

and i read somewhere that kohli is still backing his openers.. he has gone delusional.. if vijay and rahul are still there in next test then no hope for the team..

Nothing wrong in backing someone like Rahul who has years and sometimes that confidence of a captain works, but Vijay should not be playing next test.  He is not getting any younger.  i would rather give some oneelse a chance.  Rahul failed 3/4 innings, Vijay 4/4.

Also not impressed with Vijay but seems like he's the more confident one right now. But this should be his last series. He's almost 35. Rahul is a nervous wreck. Such a talent but a mental midget.

Here is the problem with Pandya.

 

He replaces a batsman- our batting is already week.

 

He replaces a fast bowler- not good enough to be 3rd seamer

 

He replaces a spinner- we need atleast 1 spinner
