Pandya will play almost all ,so TM should have sent him up the order to test him ,he might race such tricky situations in the WC

I compared him with other supposedly all rounders. If he can replace Rayadu as a batsman, thats a bonus for the team. But Rayadu is considered a pure batsman, so I doubt the management thinks the same what you do.

Not every player comes fully readymade to internationals.They only improve with time. If he can add 10k to his speeds and keep it accurate, he can be a good option to chip in with 5-6 overs and be a good value player. Batting is his primary skill anyway

Shankar should learn from cdg how to bowl on this pitch .both are similar ,ganguly would have been useful as a 5th bowler here lol

In which department Rayudu is better than Vijay. Bowling - Vijay Fielding - Vijay Batting - Vijay. Only good thing is Rayudu can slog a few six or two whenever he gets lucky.

So you want him as a 6th bowler or 5th? 

Coz if he plays as a AR ,he has to bowl as the 5th bowler and bowl close to 8overs per match

Anyone who’s played any amount of serious cricket will know in that case it was Shankar’s call. Rayudu made two mistakes - first he didn’t go when Shankar called for the run. Then, he decide to run and stop listening to Shankar shouting no no no. 

 

Not only that, earlier Rayudu almost run out Shankar by playing to point and taking off, which was also Shankars call, since lefty running from cover would throw to strikers end. 

 

Rayudu continued to go look for placement through point and covers when there are easy singles to be had on mid on / mid off. Look at Shankars wagon wheel to confirm if you want. When he couldn’t pierce the field, he played a few hoicks... when there is absolutely no need to. He has been very lucky today... He should not be anywhere near this team... his CSK mate ship with Dhoni is the only reason he is still in the team.

55 for Rayudu. Much needed runs for India. Without this knock it wasn't possible to pass 150. Now 150 looks damn certain and 200 also seems possible. Well played

That is fine. Sure it was a scratchy innings. We are not discussing the aesthetics of his innings. 18/4 and mind you he came when 2 wickets fell so he played during the time when the hostile spell was going on. Survived and did the job. Last thing you expect to hate on someone.
