Pollack Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 When you pack the team with a lot of batsmen it's a double edged sword. Sometimes you don't know how to go about building an innings since the cushion of a long batting can make top order careless and irresponsible.

Also, the problem is that all three in the XI are there to perform the same role - middle order. So there's no alternative.

Cricketics Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 England batting looks strong but so will Australia’s if they plau Lynn and Maxwell in same linenup. They are bound to click after few failures and cause havoc like any other hitters. Contrast that to our Guntur and Thala.

IMO we look stronger man to man only if we completely ignore the black hole of a middle order that we have.
SK_IH Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Eng should be disappointed if they don't win the WC with this depth in batting.They are pretty similar to what Aus were in 2015 with regards to explosive batting depth. Pretty much their WC to lose.
