@Alam_dar as I told you in another thread, many cow lynching incidents are deliberately communalized by MSM/politicians and also lots of fake news. 

I checked this incident. 

Things are not the same as has been described in this tweet. There is indeed a base present there. 

 

(1) Omar Abdullah gave the link to BBC, where this news was published. So, Omar Abdullah is not at fault. 

 

(2) Reading other media reports, it is clear that indeed this incident of Killing and one injured indeed has taken place.

(3) A group of 8 Hindus stopped those 2 Muslim boys. The Muslim boy who survived, said: “Around eight men stopped us and hurled abuses near a bridge at Nalthi village. They were cow vigilantes. One of them fired at Mr. Shah on the forehead,” said an eyewitness Hussian, who also suffered injuries in the attack."

 

Therefore, it was the impression by the injured person that they were attacked by the cow vigilantes. 

 

(4) J&K Police claimed that they were not cow vigilantes. But they are unable to tell us if not cow vigilantes, why then they attacked and killed the person? 

 

(5) It seems clear to me even if they were not cow vigilantes, still the motive was "Communal" based. 

Therefore, even they were not cow vigilantes, still killing people due to communal bases is equally bad. 

 

(6) Such incidents didn't take place in the history of India, as they have been happening today after the rise of BJP and Hindutva. 

 

I don't totally blame Hindutva, as same reaction against extremism of Islam & Muslims could be seen all over the world. But still, one part of blame indeed goes upon BJP/Hindutva supporters. Replying to extremist Muslims is totally OK, but according to my standards BJP/Hindutva supporters have gone away from the middle path and they have themselves become the same problem as the extremist Muslims are.

@Alam_dar I am neither condoning violence nor denying communal elements at play in some lynchings. Just that not all incidents hyped by media/politicians are because of communalization, opposition and activists aren't doing genuine victims any favor by crying wolf all the time.

I find the UP exit polls especially suspect.how can BJP get 60-68 seats according to India today  when the Ghatbandhan are guaranteed 40-45% vote share?

BJP in 2014 had a marginally greater vote share at 42 pc.There are 38 seats where BJP wins purely on arithmetic.Now factor in 5-10 PC vote leakage on Gathbndhan side ,young voters who will vote BJP and BJP could probably win 10 seats more.

I personally feel 45-55 range is what BJP will get.

In 2014 LS BJP had 43% vote pc, sp+bsp had 39-41 pc. 

In around 40 seats SP+BSP fall short of BJP vote pc purely on numbers if voting goes similar to last time. Now what makes you think all bsp voters will transfer automatically to sp or vice versa. 

There's always a 5 pc non consensus among voters of such an unnatural Alliance ,this might be even 10 pc which means 5 percent each of bsp and sp voters might not vote for the others candidates in many seats .

Actually this is happening ,neither akhilesh has campaigned for the bsp candidate or clearly slated his voters to transfer the vote directly ,nor has mayawati done that .honestly it feels as if they only want to win their own 30 odd seats sabotaging the others 30 .

it's not as simple vote transfer as it might appear
