Only Rabada throughout and Shami in 2 matches, have bowled quicker than usual.  And Shami is getting fitter by the day, so it is possible with him.

I think it was the Rabada's 1st or 2nd match and Iyer was wearing a mike and speaking to the commentators. He mentioned that Rabada has said to him that he will go all out and bowl quick maybe that is the reason he is clocking higher speeds.

in iplt20.com-

umesh yadav's fastest is 151.44K where as saini's fastest is 151.98k..it seems umesh bowled today 151.44k.

But he does not know what to bowl and where to bowl- when will he learn the line and length to bowl.

I think umesh is Still not bad for tests.

I don't say it is faulty. I say method is different In Australia and NZ clock speed is always shown to be high. I remember Unadkat even in under 19 was bowling at 140k. He was so fragile.

Yeah undakt clocked 139k in nz but Sandeep Sharma playing in the same WC was clocking 120s. Harshal Patel was clocking 125. That unadkut was different, used to try to bowl quick but once Akram got his hand on him for KKK in IPL 2010, he lost his pace very much like Pathan did.

I have a feeling they are using Australian method to judge the speed. Highest of the speeds. I can't believe Pandya can bowl at 148 kph. I have never seen him do that even when he was fully fit. It shows higher than normal.

Pandya is very capable of breaching those speed limits,in intl lois he has bowled many deliveries above 140 and has reached even 145

He is a genuine pacer ,in tests too he won't drop his pace ,though he is bowled in short spells in tests

So ... has Akram been deliberately messing with young Indian pacers  ?

So, Prasidh was dropped from KKR side last match and rightly so as he hasnt picked up wickets. I am pretty disappointed as you cant be unlucky all the times.

. @express bowling your overall assessment of his season ?

Prasidh has  picked up only 2 wickets this season but has been reasonably economical in 6 of the 9 matches he has played and has troubled top batsmen from time to time.

His pluses are ... the steep bounce that he gets at high pace, natural outswing and decent yorkers and slower balls. Can bowl at the death. His increase in pace this season is a big positive.

But ... he seems to lose intensity from time to time and often at crucial junctures.  Needs to work on this aspect.

He is a very international type pacer but has played just 6 FC matches in 4 years. He needs to play the full FC season this time and that may  iron out whatever issues he has.

As far as I remember he was the fastest bowler for India in one of the innings vs SA and the fastest against England in one test match. I have seen him making batsman duck under 144.4 k bumpers. He's very capable of touching those speeds not regularly but he can.
