So just because someone want to top the run charts , we should play him in every game regardless of everything else like "Giving game time to untested players to get them game ready in case of any injury" or things like that. Imagine Rahul or Rohit getting injured before the Semi final game and since, we have zero reserve openers now , who'd you play ? We never thought Dhawan will get injured this early in the world cup and we would open with Rahul. We have got be ready with a plan B in every situation.

So we dont have any opener and you are resting Rohit. You want us to play with one opener. Also resting breaks the momentum for a batsman. When in form, a batsman wants to keep going in a tournament and not rest when there is enough breaks in between games. WC is not for preparing for injuries but playing best available team.
